"I say we got to Pearl's bust down the door and annihilate the person who attacked us" Damon grumbled, moving around to board up the windows. There was a storm coming, I was currently trying to meditate. Storms harness a lot of magical power, and I like to meditate just before so I can the use that power should I need to.

"Yeah. And then what, turn to the rest of the house and say oops sorry?" Stefan jested in a sarcastic manner. Sighing I peeked an eye open, glaring up at the two brothers and Elena.

"Do you guys mind, I'm trying to meditate" I snapped, Damon glanced down at me apologetically.

"Why did you have to threaten her" Elena tried to scold me, I just sent her a flat look.

"Because she was hurting my soulmate. And I didn't threaten her, it was a promise. Now shut up" I went back to meditating as soon as I finished my sentence. However silence was not something I was going to be allowed to have here.

"Besides Elena, you don't have to be snarky about it" Damon chided. I stood up letting out another sigh.

"I woke up this morning to learn all of the tomb vampires escaped because Jamie didn't do the spell properly, I've earned snarky" I turned to look at the teenager, who started to cower in fear at the cold look in my eyes.

"I didn't fail Elena. I understand how you wouldn't get it being as plain and as boring as you are, but don't you ever blame me again" I spat before storming off up to Damon's room to meditate up there. How dare she, the fragile little human who was always sticking her nose where it didn't belong. Damon came into the room and sat on the floor beside me.

"She's wrong you know. You didn't fail at anything Angel" Damon gently took my hand in his causing me to let out a hefty sigh and look at him.

"It's just hard you know. I put all of my effort into that, all she did was sit there and watch. It's easy to pass the blame onto someone else when you didn't do anything to help" I muttered quietly. After a quiet moment I stood up. "I'm going to go to my place, once I've done my meditation I will come back".

"Okay Angel, be safe and drive carefully" Damon gave me a tender kiss before I headed out the door and to my car. I didn't make it far before an arm wrapped around my neck and a hand was put over my mouth.

"Damon Salvatore's little soulmate. Let's see how he copes when I take you away" my captor whispered in my ear, causing me to start thrashing around. I was quickly losing consciousness; however it wasn't long before something was jabbed into my neck, and I fell into darkness.

I groaned as I came to and looked at my surroundings. I saw Stefan hanging from a hook that was attached to a rope. It is keeping him off the ground. As the storm raged around us I closed my eyes and stated to meditate again. If I wanted to make it out of this alive I needed to stay calm. I heard the door open as Stefan came to.

"Why is Jamie here?" Stefan groaned to the vampires who had just come in.

"Because we are punishing Damon, whilst he would be sad to see you go Stefan, he would die without her" the vampire it out with a laugh at the end. As I continued to meditate I could feel the power of the storm starting to fill my veins. I felt it burn its way through my body as I was hoisted up and taken into the main house, but my meditation didn't break, just as I opened my eyes I saw we were now in a living room. I could hear voices as I looked around, making sure to keep my eyes low enough that the vampires wouldn't know I was awake.

"Pearl's not home. Hmm beautiful weather. Not a ray of sun in the sky" the vampire teased.

"Where's my brother and where is my soulmate?" Damon spat, both of his hands resting on the door frame as he couldn't get in.
