Chapter 3

"So why are we going to Georgia?" I ask turning in my seat to look at Damon.

"We are going to see an old friend of mine. A witch to be precise. I still owe it to Katherine to get her out of that tomb so that is what I intend to do. After that I say we go and visit your hometown, or travel and see if we can find your other soulmates" Damon said looking over and smiling at me.

"You'd do that for me? Even if it means you have to share?" I tease leaning over and pressing a kiss to his cheek.

"I'd do anything for you angel" Damon responded placing his hand on my thigh as he drove. We were both just enjoying the silence and being in each other's company when Elena groaned in the back seat. "Morning" me and Damon greeted in unison causing Elena to groan again.

"Where are we?" Elena asked looking out the window.

"Georgia" I said pulling my phone out of my pocket when it alerted me to a text message, sighing I opened the message.

Jamie, it's Stefan. Bonnie gave me your number, have you seen Elena?

I waved my phone at Damon before firing a quick text to Stefan that she is with Elena and that she was safe.

"That my baby bro?" Damon asked causing me to hum in response.

"Seriously Damon where are we?" Elena whined in the back seat.

"Seriously Elena. We're in Georgia" I said rolling my eyes.

"How are you feeling? There's no broken bones I checked" Damon said, however I stopped listening as my phone started ringing.

"Hello Stefan" I said sweetly causing Damon to snicker.

"Jamie? Where is Elena? Is she okay?" Stefan rushed out at me causing me to roll my eyes again.

"She's fine Stefan" I turned to look at Elena, holding my phone out slightly, "you want to talk to him?" I asked, she just shook her head. "Yeah she doesn't want to talk to you Stefan. Whatever happened between you two must have been bad so when you do see her you need to sort it out".

"She saw the picture of Katherine. They're doppelgangers Jamie. She freaked out and she ran. I need to know she's okay" I could hear the panic in Stefan's voice, but I wasn't going to force Elena to speak with him.

"I will let you know when we get back. Bye Stefan" I said quickly hanging up before he could ask anymore questions, "your brother asks a lot of questions" I said looking over at Damon who chuckled in response. "So anyway there's another vampire about?" I asked causing Elena to look at me in shock.

"You heard what we were talking about?" she asked causing me to roll my eyes.

"We are in the same car Elena, and besides when you've grown up in the supernatural world you learn to keep your wits about you mate" I said going back to looking at my gorgeous soulmate.

"She's right Elena, you'll learn eventually" Damon snarked causing me to let out a giggle.

"You two are nauseating" Elena then took note of the bar we pulled up outside of, "you brought me to a bar? Damon I'm not old enough, they're not going to let me in" Elena whined again causing me to head off towards the bar.

"Hopefully they don't" I grumbled pushing the door open as Damon caught up to me. However the woman behind the bar caused me to stop. "Bree?!" Bree snapped her head towards me before jumping over the bar, glancing quickly at mine and Damon's entwined hands before pulling me into a hug.

"Look at how beautiful you are! Jamie-Leigh Stewart, it's been too long" Bree said gently pushing me at arms lengths before pulling me back into an embrace.
