The Dutton Ranch was abuzz with anticipation as Beth reached the 29th week of her pregnancy. Her hormonal fluctuations had turned her into a force to be reckoned with, more than usual. Those who dared to cross her path often found themselves on the receiving end of her fiery attitude. Beth was ready to give birth, and every day felt like an eternity as she counted down the weeks.

Despite her mood swings and the discomfort of being heavily pregnant, Beth had a certain glow about her. John Dutton couldn't help but remark on it one evening as he sat with her on the porch, gazing at the Montana sunset.

"You're just like your mother, Beth," John said, his voice filled with nostalgia. "She had that same fiery spirit, that same determination. She'd be proud of the woman you've become."

Beth's eyes softened with emotion as she looked at her father. "Sometimes I actually miss her, now more than ever."

John reached over and placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "I know you do, sweetheart. But I can't wait to see you become a mother yourself. And I'm spoiling my granddaughter rotten."

Rip had taken on the role of caretaker and protector with unwavering dedication. He had been reading to Beth's stomach, his deep voice recounting stories of horses and cowboys in the hopes that the baby would hear his voice and recognize it when she was born. He would often massage Beth's feet and back, doing his best to ease her discomfort.

One evening, Rip sat beside Beth on their porch, the baby's crib now assembled and waiting in the nursery. He glanced at Beth, a mixture of excitement and nervousness in his eyes.

"Beth, I can't believe our baby girl will be here soon," he said, his voice filled with wonder.

Beth smiled, her hand resting on her swollen belly. "I know, Rip. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time."

Rip chuckled, the anticipation etched on his face. "I hope I can handle both of your attitudes."

Beth playfully swatted at him, her mood softening as she looked at the man she loved. "We'll figure it out together, Rip. You're going to be an amazing father."

As they sat on the porch, the Montana night wrapped around them like a warm embrace. The baby's arrival was imminent, and their hearts were filled with hope, love, and the promise of a future that held boundless possibilities.
