Before you speak, let your words pass through three gates
Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind?
Be sure your words flow with love and grace
So they're gentle and compassionate, and not unkindLet the truth flow freely without any doubt
Speak with conviction and honesty, be real
Let the words you choose be worth hearing out
And remember, your tone can also revealIs it necessary to speak the words you have in mind?
Would they benefit anyone, or cause pain?
Sometimes it's best to keep them hidden, confined
And keep your peace, instead of giving reignIs it kind? Words can uplift, or tear us down
Let's choose our words with care and empathy
Speak with love, let compassion be profound
And watch how brighter our world will beSo, before you speak, remember these gates
And let your words be mindful, gracious, and kind
For in doing so, you'll inspire those around and create
A world of love, acceptance, and peace of mind"Three Gates" - may these words serve as a reminder
To always choose kindness in our speech and minder.
