Summary: You have feelings for Peter but he doesn't have feelings for you

I look across the hall sadly knowing he would never look at me like he did her. She was perfect and so was he, two perfect people meant to be together while I was imperfect and no one perfect would ever love an imperfect person. Peter Kavinsky was the most popular boy in school, played lacrosse, had beautiful hazel colored eyes, soft, curly dark brown hair, and a gorgeous smile that could make anyone fall in love with him while his girlfriend Genevieve had dirty blonde hair, green eyes and a gorgeous body, and she was the most popular girl in school. I close my locker with a sad sigh knowing I could never be his as I make my way to class. With my back turned I don't notice the pair of hazel eyes on me as I walk to class. 

Fourth hour comes around which just so happens to be my y/c/n which just so happens to have Peter in it. I sit at the back and try to keep myself from staring at Peter the whole time, when about halfway through the teacher announces that we would be required to do a partner project and he would be picking our partners. I hold my breath as he goes down the list of students until he says, "Y/L/N, you're with Kavinsky." I feel my heart start to race at the thought of working with my crush. My eyes scan the room expecting to find him looking but to my surprise, he's already walking over and turning the chair in front of me around to face me. I gulp, and the only thing I can think to say is, "You know who I am?" He nods and says, "Of course I know who you are." I'm too stunned to say anything as he begins to talk about his ideas of what we could do for our presentation. As he talks the only thing I can think is, this is going to be interesting.
