Endlessly Chasing

"How about... I try to make another?" You focused on the plastic butter-fly's properties.

Red... Smooth... Small... Thin... Firm...

You thought back to every moment you had with the item.

Hope... Lost... Despair... Reunite... Change... Grow...

You felt as if you were missing something from that list, but continued anyway. You imagined the object in your head. And then...

Another small, smooth, thin, red butter-fly was in your hands.

"I did it... I did it!" You grinned, pushing your negative emotions aside and focusing on your accomplishment.

"It seems I've finished my goals as well." You looked up and saw... "Azula!?"

"In the flesh." You got into a fighting stance, quickly gathering your belongings. "Easy now, calm down! I've barely even said a word, Y/N." Azula hopped from rock to rock until she came face to face with you.

"You've got a wonderful power." She smirked. "Yeah, it's really great to use against creepy women who invade my personal space." You mumbled, taking a step back.

"Har har. Anyway, I was thinking... You've seen how much my brother has changed." You raised an eyebrow, "He's become more distant, more cold and hostile towards you. He's also... A dirty criminal."

She doesn't know that you sorted things out...?

"...Y/N. He'll do anything to capture the Avatar. Probably even hurt you. So... How about we work together? Maybe you'd see Zuzu more often, and maybe... Just maybe... You could sort things out?"

You stared her dead in the eyes. "No."
"Very well, then. What a shame." Azula launched blue flames at your head, but you dodged and hopped onto a rock behind you.

She kicked two flames in your direction, but you blocked by making a wall of void. She hopped to a rock on your left and blasted three flames, two to your sides and one directly at you, but you avoided them by leaping upwards.

A sly grin appeared on her face as she prepared to shoot lightning at your feet. You immediately made a shield of void around yourself and spun back onto the large rock.

An idea entered your head. "You've definitely improved, Azula." You stated, digging through your inventory. "And so have you." She punched fire at you like she was a machine gun.

You pulled two berries that Momo gave you out, did a frontal flip over Azula, and a second before your feet touched the ground, you squeezed the berries' juice into her eyes. "Hmph... Clever. Verrry clever." She grunted.

You tied a void lasso around her and brought her to her knees, then encased her in a dark stone.

"This trick again? Ugh..." She glared at you. "How come you didn't agree? Don't tell me... You still care about my brother?"

"Yup. We sorted things out." You were about to walk away, but remembered Ursa's wish. You didn't have to talk to her, but...

"I really do care about him... Maybe you'll find someone who cares just as much about you." You said, not facing her completely. "HA!" She cackled for a moment, "You're an idiot. Fear... That's all I need."

"Fears are easy to overcome, Azula. But love isn't." You stated. "Oh? Then why did you abandon Zuzu?" Azula said, condescendingly.

"I didn't want to abandon him at all. I needed my family. Even now, I... I don't think I really made the wrong decision. But I still care about Zuko, with every fiber of my being." You shrugged.
