The Blind Bandit

"I realized I could form living beings. So, I formed animals. Lion Turtles were my first attempt. I granted them the ability to bend energy, in case the world would fall apart and become dangerous for all the spirits on it, yada yada, shift the negative energy, yada yada."

You were a little bit confused, but nodded anyway.

"After forming animals, I wanted to form people. Beings that looked like me. But it wouldn't work." You hummed in confusion. "I could only mold their bodies with the void. You see, the Mother of Faces was born the moment I created the spiritual forests. With her help, I made humanity, and a human body for my soul to dwell in."

"That's a whole lot of creation. What about destruction and time?" You hopped, lilypad to lilypad, across the inky river filled with black stones.

"Destruction... I lived with the humans of the back of Lion Turtles. I grew close with them, and took them on a voyage to the spiritual forests. They saw animals for the first time, and learned bending from them. Then they met the spirits..."

Lso turned away from you, "They attacked the spirits, and in a fit of rage, I cast them out of the forest by launching an attack of my own at them. I had created destruction."

"Afterwards, I felt guilty. I knew what the humans did was bad, but I regretted the way I attacked them. I entered this endless room of void and contacted the spirits within it. They saw how I had formed a power for myself, and granted me the power of time, taking me in as if I were their own."

Lso grabbed your wrists, removing the belts over her eyes. "I used my power of time. But for every action, there is a reaction. If you ever obtain the relic of time, please, be careful." She let you go, squeezing the belts in her hands.

"I stopped the humans from attacking the spirits, but due to my warping of time, the energy within the world shifted, bringing chaos. I had to prevent the erasure of life by allowing myself to be harmed. I lost my vision, and could only focus to see my surroundings. Once again, my world was dark."

Lso sat down on the smooth surface of the void, sighing. "...I decided to reside within the spiritual forest for twenty years. I felt alone, separated from my creations. Even though I am angry with a few, I truly do love them. So... I formed a friend who would stay with me for as long as I would live. With the Mother of Faces' assistance, I made Sai."

"Sai... That's Saiyaka, isn't it!" You exclaimed, surprised.

"That's correct. Sai, who for some reason added unnecessary letters to her name, has been on Earth since the dawn of time. Although, as my power over other void benders weakened, so did her life force. I thought she'd pass... But thanks to our bond, she's more alive than ever." Lso beamed, looking up at you in appreciation.

"Ahh, y'know me. Helping ancient forces stay alive for thousands of generations... It's kinda weird, actually. She doesn't even look that old. Heck, you only look thirty at most!" You poked and prodded Lso's face.

""Well, living in a realm of darkness and isolation really makes for a nice beauty routine." Lso shrugged. "I can see how you're my mother now." You chuckled, sitting beside her.

"There's still a lot about these powers to know. For example, relics, and how they work. Maybe even how I created them... But I wouldn't want to bore you with the details. All you really have to know is that I created the three relics and waited for a person to obtain their power via connection."
"Wait wh-"

And you were back, sitting in the middle of the three pillars. "..." You stood in silence for a moment, "Welp, those dorks are probably curious where I am."
