Zhao let out a cry of anger. "I suppose you're still pathetic, only fighting with mere words." He said. "Looking back, isn't the pathetic one you, Commander Zhao, the man who burned a small, nine year old girl?" You tilted your head to the left.

"UGH! FIRE!" Dozens of fire blasts were sent your way, but you easily formed a wall of void. You decided to try your trick again, and formed a cloud of smoke. This time, it was much easier, as you had come to understand the smoke itself.

You focused, and formed a lasso of void, looping it around three confused guards and launching them into the ocean. A whip of fire slithered your way, so you rolled out of it's path, grabbing more soldiers and throwing them off the battle field. You had the advantage of hearing the fire crackle and being able to see through focusing on the direction of the noise, whereas they had the disadvantage of going up against a silent form of bending, in a nearly pitch black puff of smoke. "HYA!" Zhao used firebending to send away all the smoke. "Aw man... I worked hard on creating that." You joked, the two of you glaring at each other.

"NOW!" Zhao shouted. You formed a ball of void around yourself, surprised. You couldn't focus on  everything around you yet, only all the things in front of you. You heard flames crashing against your sphere of darkness. Wait...

Zhao left. The fire was coming from behind you.

"Coward... You COWARD!" You screamed, expanding your ball of void and launching the soldier backwards. You were fuming.
You wanted to put him in his place.
You wanted to show him how pathetic he was. You wanted to...

You clenched the plastic butter-fly and let out of a soft sigh. You had a nosebleed. And you could feel your energy depleting.

The guard you knocked away came dashing towards you, thrusting a fire blast in your direction. You slid under his arm and stepped on his feet. Then, you formed another lasso of void and wrapped it around his head, launching him into the sea.

Due to the way you had used up a lot of power creating a massive wall of smoke out at sea, you were even more exhausted. You clenched your fists, gritting your teeth. Zhao escaped. He ESCAPED. Instead of being held responsible for his actions, he gets praise! Instead of being defeated by you, he RUNS AWAY! He was probably grinning. He probably felt above consequences.

Your entire world suddenly went dark.

Your eyes widened as you saw Lso standing in front of you. She seemed frustrated as well. And... Sad. She pulled you into a tight hug. "L-Lso...? I... I didn't pass out, did I?" You asked, still in shock. "You felt a strong emotion. And... So did I." Lso stated. You didn't fully understand, but you knew she could understand how you were feeling.

You slammed your eyes shut and hugged her back.

"Y/N... Do you wish to know why this place is so familiar?" Lso hummed. You slowly nodded. "I came here centuries ago." Lso said. You stared up at her in confusion. "Ah, I must not look old to you. This is the place I left this world." She explained, only confusing you even more. "You... Died here?" You asked. "No, no. I went to another world. Not the spirit world. Heck, when I made that dimension, I was still technically human." Technically? Made?

"Ah, I'm probably making you even more confused. This island is where I gave away my existence on Earth and left Sai. This darkness? The realm we are in? It's where I was born. I remember how the spirits floated around here..." Lso chuckled. "Wait, but... That's your life. Not mine. Why would I get a familiar feeling?" You quizzed.

"Because... I've been with you, and you've been with me, ever since you were created. The thing is... We're bonded. You share my traits. Moreso than any other void warpers I have stuck with." Lso's words were starting to give you an existential crisis. "You knew... Other void warpers? Share your traits? And you've been with me ever since I was born!?" You exclaimed.

"One, yes. I watched the lives of many void benders, but so many of them didn't even know I existed, mainly since we never bonded, or they shared to little traits. Everytime I watched another void bender, it seemed the shared control in the body would lean towards them. All I could do was watch. But with you, I feel what most of what you feel. You feel most of what I feel." Lso laughed, "I hope I didn't confuse you to badly."
"Nope, totally not questioning my entire life."

"It seems like you're calmer now. I'll send you ba-..." Lso froze. She turned away from you, tugging on the rim of her cloak. "Lso...?" You whispered. "Lokai, when you enter your body, run." Lokai?

You were suddenly sent back. It took a minute to readjust. Too many minutes too late. A part of the temple slammed onto you, as lava shot up to the heavens. You tried snapping the rubble with the void, but you were being crushed, it was too heavy. You could feel the blood stop flowing to your hands. "Not here." You whispered.

You could feel cracks forming along your body, closer to your face. They wouldn't stop. "Let me help you." You heard Lso's voice, and suddenly...

Void dripped out of your eyes. And then... It shot out of your neck like a geyser, covering your entire head. Lso used your- Both of your hands to form an arm made of void, lifting the rubble like it was nothing. She formed arcs of freezing void around hot, bubbling lava shooting out from the island, cooling it down and turning it to rock. Then, she made void engulf your legs, pushing you out of harms way. Then...

Everything went black.

Zuko dashed out the temple heading towards his ship, when he saw you unconscious next to five unnatural pillars of dark, frozen, lava. Hastily, he carried you and ran onto his ship, watching as the temple came crashing down, turning into nothing but dust and ash. He stared at Appa as he flew away, out of his field of view, gritting his teeth. Once again, he had failed to capture the Avatar. He shook his head and sat you on the ground, supporting you by placing a hand on your back.

"Y/N!? Please tell me you're okay!" He whisper-shouted, unsure of what to do. Did she get hurt!? Was she burned!?

He checked your body for any wounds, and let out a sigh of relief when he realized you were alright. And then, you opened your eyes.
"Z... Prince Zuko...?" You mumbled, your vision a bit blurry. "Y/N!" His eyes widened and he cleaned his throat.

"You should've gone to the ship when Avatar Roku caused the eruption!" Zuko shouted, rising up and crossing his arms. "I couldn't... After I tried to fight Zhao, I accidentally passed out..." You were slurring your words, yet still managing to sound annoyed.

"Commander Zhao... He didn't hurt you, did he?" Zuko questioned. "What do you care?" You muttered, standing up and wobbling a bit. He didn't reply to your statement and instead let out a sigh. "Let's get moving. I can't miss another shot at restoring my honor." Zuko said, his back facing you.
