The Ember Island Players

"I see everything you see, except I don't see the way you do. I release a sonic wave from my mouth." Toph's actor let out an extremely loud scream that shattered a few of the windows outside.

"There, I got a pretty good look at ya'."

Later in the play, everyone arrived in Ba Sing Se. Oka had an actor that was pretty lanky, and sharp eyes. "I can't wait to enter this tea shop for absolutely no reason!" He hummed, entering Pao's Family Tea House.

He leaned over the table at your actress, "Hey, what nation are you from?" He asked. "Oh! A complete stranger! Cool! I'm from the Southern Water Tribe! I'm traumatized!" Your actress beamed.

"Hi traumatized, I'm hot! You should make out with me!" Oka's actor smirked.

Your actress picked him up and threw him out of the shop. And he tumbled down, his limbs flailing about ridiculously like a ragdoll.

"I'll be back, just you wait!" Oka's actor yelled, as fake you and fake Zuko began to make out.

"What in the‐What?!" Sokka exclaimed, looking over at you and Zuko in shock, "Did you two really... Kiss?!"

You and Zuko glanced at each other. "Um... No?" Zuko lied, rubbing the back of his neck. Sokka sighed in relief, placing a hand on his gigantic forehead, "Good, because if you guys did..." Sokka eyed Zuko.

The scene changed to the Crystal Catacombs, where Zuko and Katara were trapped together.

"I have to admit Prince Zuko, I really find you attractive!" Katara's Actress exclaimed. "You don't have to make fun of me." Zuko's Actor said. "But I mean it! I've had eyes for you since the first day you captured me!"

Katara and Zuko leaned away from each other. Aang, sitting between them, narrowed his eyes.

"This play is garbage." Zuko sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Tell me about it." Aang huffed.

You crossed your arms and pouted, "You better not make the wrong choice, Zuko!" Zuko raised his eyebrows in a mix of shock and confusion, "It's not me up there!" He exclaimed.

"Wait, I thought you were the Avatar's girl!" Zuko's actor said.

"Why, he's like a little brother to me! I certainly don't think of him in a romantic way." Katara's actress stated.
Aang furrowed his eyebrows.

"After all, how could he find out about this?!" Katara's actress embraced fake Zuko and held his hand. Aang got up and stormed off.

"Oh dear..." You muttered, standing up as well.

"Even then, I must reject you. My heart belongs with your sister, Y/N." Zuko's actor whispered, striking a dramatic pose.

Katara's actress placed her hand on her heart, "Woe is me! My hope has been shattered! I can never love my sister again!"

You rolled your eyes and followed after Aang. He went out to a balcony, resting his head in his palms, trying to calm down. The loud chatter from the theater went away, leaving only the murmurs of the winds.

"Hey, Aang..." You approached him slowly. "What?!" He shouted. You blinked rapidly, surprised.
   He sighed and opened his clenched fists, "Sorry."

"It's okay." You said, leaning against the railing. "I know it's annoying—The play, I mean. I felt a bit jealous too. But... Why has it been affecting you so much?"

"Because–" Aang exhaled, "Katara and I... I thought that we'd be together by now. I mean, we've kissed and everything! But we're not, and I don't know why."

"Do you think she doesn't like me?" Aang inquired, twiddling his thumbs, "Are her and Zuko actually–"

"Well, that last question is an immediate no. I'm sure she likes you, she's probably just sorting out her feelings. There's a lot of stuff going on, you know?" You explained.

"I know..." Aang muttered. "I can't get her out of my mind. I want to know why things are like this between us."

He rested his arms on the railing of the balcony and glanced at you,
"Thanks for checking up on me, Y/N. I can see why Sokka's so overprotective of you."

You chuckled, "No problem. Are you going to stay out here? Will you be okay on your own?" You asked.

"Yeah," Aang said, "I'll be fine."

Nodding, you waved at him and walked back into the theater.

The play really wasn't good, and it was getting pretty boring. So, you decided to get some entertainment. You began to play with Zuko's hair, hoping to tick him off.

To your dismay, he seemed to actually be enjoying it. You pouted and furrowed your eyebrows, gently patting his head like a drum.

He let out a low hum, tired. He moved your hands past his neck and down to his collarbone, holding onto them. Smiling softly, you quietly giggled.

You could sense Sokka watching the two of you cautiously, but ignored him. Zuko shut his eyes, relaxing. You rested your head on top of his. His cheeks were a light pink. He looked so peaceful... It was cute.

"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!"

Toph's actor let out a super loud scream, making you and Zuko jolt awake. You snorted as Zuko groaned, aggravated.

"With the energy harnessed from the comet, no one will be able to defeat the Fire Nation!" Ozai's actor announced.
     "Father, Zuko and the Avatar are at the palace! They're trying to stop you!" Azula's actress snitched.
"You take of Zuko! I will face the Avatar myself!"

Azula actress started a fight with Zuko's actor. The choreography was surprisingly good, unlike that one movie.

A fake, red flame shot up from the floorboards, concealing Zuko's actor. "HONOR!!!™" He cried, defeated.

Your actress faced of against fake Oka, when he trapped her under a massive wave. "No! I'm the main character! I need to make out with Zukoooo!" She screamed, falling to the floor of the stage. You scoffed.

Aang's actress was trapped in a swirl of fake flames. "Nooooo!" She exclaimed, "Buy our merch, kids! Augh!"

"It is over, Father! We've done it!" Azula's actress grinned.

"Yes! We have done it! The dreams of my father, and my father's father, have now been realized! The world is mine!"

Everyone in the audience stood up and cheered, but the Gaang stayed silent, looks of confusion, annoyance, and disgust on your faces.

You all stood up and walked out of the theater.

"That... Wasn't a good play." Zuko stated.

"I'll say." Aang huffed.
"No kidding." Katara hummed.
"Horrible." Suki said.
"You said it." Toph nodded.

"But the effects were decent." Sokka shrugged. "Shuddup, Sokka." You retorted.

💜Deleted scenes I wanted to add:

"Prince Zuko, you must try this cake!" Iroh's actor said. "I don't have time to stuff my face! I must capture the Avatar and regain my honor!" Actor Zuko declared.

"But I do have time... For you, baby." Zuko's actor said, flipping his ponytail back dramatically as your actress did a backflip onto his ship. The two started to make out on stage.

Zuko stood up, his cheeks a soft pink, "Nope, not today! I'm leaving!"
