"Were you... Crying?" He asked. You froze for a moment, then nodded. "I was... B-But I'm fine now." You muttered. "Then... Could you tell me what happened?" He asked, placing his hand on your shoulder. "I-I..." You felt yourself tearing up.
"I miss my family. I miss my home, my friends, my happiness, everything! Everything... That I lost
w-when she..." You began to cry as a storm began to form. "I just feel so lost... So scatterbrained..." You could hear the crackling of thunder in the clouds. The grey sky became dark, yet darker, the water droplets which fell from the heavens seemed to dance along to the booming rhythm of lightning as it dashed across the sky within seconds, and your tears became one with the rain. Zuko was silent for a while, but wrapped his arms around you and pulled you into a warm hug. Your eyes widened, then shut. He shielded you from the rain. You cried into his chest and hugged him back, sobbing.
"...Come on, Y/N. Let's head inside."

"Are you sure she's okay?" I asked. "I'm sure she'll be fine. She probably just passed out from stress. Maybe you could do something to clear her mind." Ursa proposed, standing up from Y/N's bedside. "Now, tell me... Did Azula go out with you?" She questioned. I shook my head. "Thank goodness... I wouldn't want you two getting sick." So all Y/N has to do is relax?
"Maybe... Maybe we could make tea for her." I shrugged. "Tea? Taking after your uncle, I see." Ursa chuckled. "That could help relax her... I'll see what I can do." Ursa exited the room.
I glanced at Y/N, who was resting on my bed. She came to the Fire Nation alone, without her family... It's no wonder she'd miss them. How long was she keeping this to herself? Without letting me know the pain she was feeling...? She... Shouldn't have to be alone.
I noticed her shivering and formed a small fire in the palm of my hand. The flame beautifully illuminated her skin and hair. She looked... Gorgeous.
Which was really weird, since people are normally super ugly when they sleep.
I heard someone let out a hum from behind me and whipped my head around to see...
"Mom? I-I thought you left!" I exclaimed. "I did leave, but now I'm back with the tea. I hope I didn't interrupt your staring session." She chuckled, placing the cup of tea on a table beside my bed. "M-Mom... Seriously, it's not like that." I mumbled. "Oh, sorry dear. I just couldn't help but notice how close the two of you have become. It's... Very cute." Ursa smiled. "Yeah... She is..."
Oh shi
It was too late, my mom was already staring at me with that smirk. "I meant to say, that, uh... She is... DEFINITELY going to love your tea!" I grinned.
"I certainly hope so..." Ursa gently tapped Y/N's shoulder, waking her. "...Oh..." Y/N rubbed her eyes and looked around the room.

"Ah, hello Ma'am..." You glanced to your right and saw Zuko. "And hello, Pricko." You smiled. "You're making me regret carrying you out of that storm." Zuko sighed. "Here you go, dear. Some nice calming tea. It'll help you relax." Ursa said, placing a cup in your hands. "A-Ah, um... Thank you." You took a small sip of tea. "That reminds me... That tea guy! General Iroh?"
"My uncle? He's fighting at Ba Sing Se." Zuko muttered. "Oh..." You looked at the ground for a moment, then let out a sigh. "How are things outside?" You questioned. "The storm seems to be completely gone... It vanished as soon as it came." Ursa stated. "So... What do you think of my son?" Ursa asked, grinning. "Mother, please-"
"Well, he's actually not as annoying as I thought he'd be." You said. "So I'm still annoying?" Zuko huffed, pouting. "I would say... Your positive traits outweigh your bad ones. You're honestly a really cool person... Which was a surprise." You admitted. "You... Didn't deny that I'm annoying..." You let out a soft laugh. "Okay, okay, you're not annoying, but you're still a gremlin."
"You know what? I have an idea of something you two would love to see. I heard something big has been planned by a few citizens. Now that the storm's over, you two can go outside to see it." Ursa said.
"Something big?" Zuko muttered, raising an eyebrow. "I won't ruin the surprise by saying what it is... But its an amazing sight! One of the most beautiful things I've ever seen."
"This is the ugliest thing I've ever seen." You sighed, standing outside.
Ursa brought both of you to a nearby hill surrounded by cherry blossom trees. There was a whole city below you, filled with a ton of people you didn't recognize. Filled with... Families. But you decided to stare up at the sky instead. "How is it ugly? It's the sky!" Zuko exclaimed. "Well the sky needs a makeover." You huffed. "The event hasn't even started yet! Give it a minute, you'll be amazed." Ursa chuckled.
"You should be patient, Y/N. Patience is a sign of a good leader." Zuko hummed. "Leader? The only thing I've ever led is a fish out of water!" You laughed.
"You've gone fishing? What was it like?" Zuko asked. "30% fun, 10% terrifying, and 60% gross due to my very sweet brother." You stated, "I remember him trying to catch a fish by using one of his socks as bait.
Scary thing is, it actually worked!",
"...The poor fish..."
"Ah, it looks like it's about to begin...!" Ursa turned to face both of you with a smile. "I'll go back indoors in case I'm needed. Don't stay outside for too long, you might miss your bedtime. And that goes for you as well, Y/N." She said, making you slump your shoulders and pout.

"Do you hear that...?" You whispered.
You looked down to see a group celebrating... Something. There were around eight people holding instruments and playing a melody. More and more people circled around them and began to dance with each other.
You noticed some people carrying lanterns and using their fire bending to light them. The lanterns flew upwards, scattering across the dark night sky and ascending past the fluffy clouds.
The warm, star-like lanterns and the pastel glow of the moon was reflected in your eyes. Your gaze softened. Even if it was just for a second, you embraced the beauty of the Fire Nation. Ursa was right. It was a stunning sight. You glanced at Zuko, who also seemed to be in a trance.
At that moment, an idea entered your mind. A small smile appeared on your face. "Hey, Zuko...?" You reached your hand out to him, "Do... Do you... Want to dance with me?"
"Y-Y/N?" He muttered, looking into your eyes, tense. "What? Do you have two left feet?" You smirked. He gave you a smile and placed his hand in yours. "So... what dance are we doing?" He asked. "Freestyle!" You exclaimed. "Freestyle...?"
"Let energy flow through your body... And move along with the music. When you feel that inner peace...", You moved gracefully across the grass, void bending at the same time, "You'll know you're doing it right. Just breathe." You shut your eyes and went with the flow, when you suddenly felt someone's hand in yours and a hand gently placed on your waist. Your eyes fluttered open.
"Am I... Doing this right?" Zuko rested his head against your shoulder and whispered into your ear. You could feel your face heating up. "...Perfectly." You smiled, closing your eyes once more.
