MICHEALA :

- she's incredibly sweet to your entire family
- she's always been an amazing aunt to olive, cal, and eden, so it was no surprise when she got along with the kids in your own family
- "yeah... sorry for the store-bought pie. i tried making one but then the smoke alarm started going off- it was a whole thing." she said, waving her hand off and handing over the apple pie she'd broughten.

BEN :

- he'd always been a family guy, he was the perfect guy to bring home to your family
- he was smart, pleased your dad with his famous dad jokes
- he was invited to all the movie nights, where he'd start popcorn fights with some of your family, holding you in his arms as the movie started
- soon, he started bringing the kids over as well and they fit in perfectly

JARED :

- meeting each other's families was a big expierence for both of you
- as you've seen, he has a huge family himself and has always grown up with family get-togethers, family dinners, the birthdays, all of it
- when you invited him to your family dinner, he couldn't be more excited and nervous
- "i'm excited, but what if they don't like me?"
- "j, you're one of NYPD's top detectives, they'll like you just fine." you said, placing a kiss on his lips before knocking on your childhood home's front door
- needless to say, he got lost in the fun of board games and popcorn on the living room floor with your family that night

ZEKE :

- he was absolutely downright terrified that your family would think he wasn't good enough for you
- "zeke, i don't give a shit what they think. i love you, that's all that matters." you say, reassuring him.
- you swear until that night, you'd never seen someone be so sweet and so patient to little kids
- he even helped clean the dishes in the sink after dinner
- your family absolutely adored him, and from then on, he was invited to every family dinner, every family gathering, all of it.

CAL :

- he was really nervous before meeting them
- you walked in on him getting ready, giving himself a pep talk in the mirror as he adjusted the buttons on his dress shirt
- "cal, it's gonna be fine. they're gonna love you." you said, standing behind him in the mirror and wrapping two arms around his waist.
- "i know, i know. i'm just worried."
- when he got there, the little kids immeadiately dragged him into playing a game of hide and seek
- "no way! how'd you guys find me? my spot was so good, i don't know what you're talking about"

EAGAN :

- family dinners were never even a thing in his own family, so imagine how he felt attending one of yours
- "please, for the love of god, don't make any snarky comments tonight." you pleaded with him as you fixed up the buttons on his shirt. he looked down at your with pure admiration on his face, something you at one point had believed impossible.
- "if it'll make you happy." he replies, placing a finger beneath your chin and lifting it up to meet his lips.
- your family thought he was just fine, he didn't talk much at dinner. he followed the whole "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it"
- you were proud of him for even being able to sit at that table, you knew it wasn't his thing, but he did it for you

TJ :

- your family absolutely loved him, and i mean loved him
- he was an incredibly smart guy, even talking about his studies in egypt and everything he had learned, the people he met, the culture he had endured
- he was incredibly sweet and had perfect manners, helping clean up the table, washing the dishes, sweeping up after all of it
- the family decided on team charades and the two of you absolutely kicked everyone's asses at it

OLIVE :

- she had perfect manners with your family, saying please and thank-you for everything.
- she'd always had that motherly, older sister instinct in her, so she got along perfectly with your family
- she helped cook the dinner, like the amazinf chef zeke had taught her to be
- the food came out incredible, the whole family giving props to her throughout the meal

SAANVI :

- your family was so impressed by her career, knowledge and education
- "she's one of the smartest people i know." you say, causing her to break out into a smile at the dinner table
- she held your hand under the table throughout the meal, answering any questions your family sent her way
- "yeah, i was on the flight with them. that's actually how we met." she replies to one of the questions happily.
- the two of you had a lot of regrets, but flight 828 never was one of them. you would've never met her, and that terrified you.
