After washing the colorful seashells, Ning Tang neatly spread them on a sieve and left them to dry on the windowsill overnight. The next day, they could be used to make seashell wind chimes.

On the following day, Ning Tang brought the dried seashells inside and made seashell wind chimes with the three children.

Since they didn't have a hole puncher at home, they were fortunate that the seashells already had natural holes. They simply threaded them onto a white string.

Ning Tang made a string of seashell wind chimes and hung them under the eaves. When the wind blew, they produced a delightful tinkling sound, which was quite pleasant to hear.

After making the seashell wind chimes, there were still enough shells left to make a seashell curtain. Ning Tang asked Dawa and Sanwa if they wanted it.

Both Dawa and Sanwa found it too feminine, so it was Erniu who graciously accepted it and hung it on the windowsill.

After decorating, Erniu blinked her eyes, finding it hard to believe that this was her room.

The seashell curtain hung on the windowsill, with each small shell having a different color. When the wind blew and the shells collided, they made a crisp sound. Sunlight shone through the window, casting beautiful fan-shaped shadows on the strings of seashells.

Erniu had been to other friends' houses but none of their rooms were as beautifully decorated as hers. It was because she did have parents who would willingly put their hearts into it.

Most parents thought that having a room to live in was already good enough, so why bother with extravagant decorations.

Ning Tang looked around and said, "Your room still feels empty. Next time we go to the city, let's see if there are any posters for sale. We can buy one and hang it on your wall. Since you like sister Li Jun's singing so much, we can get a poster of her."

Erniu pursed her lips and smiled, answering loudly, "Okay."

In the afternoon, Sister Luo and Zeng Xinlan came to visit.

Ning Tang asked, "Did you two plan to come together?"

Sister Luo smiled and said, "We ran into each other on the way, what a coincidence."

Ning Tang looked at the two of them and asked who wanted to speak first.

Zeng Xinlan said, "Sister can go first, my matter is not urgent."

Sister Luo didn't refuse either and said, "Xiao Ning, I came to ask for your advice."

Ning Tang blinked her eyes and asked, "Advice about what?"

Sister Luo sighed, "The college entrance exam results are out, and Qingqing didn't get into a university again. Old Zhao arranged for her to have two job opportunities in the city through some connections. I want you to give me some suggestions on which job she should choose."

The college entrance exam results were out, and Zhao Qingqing failed to pass for the second time, and her scores were even lower than the first attempt.

It severely shook Zhao Qingqing's confidence, and she got angry, saying that she should have known better than to take the exam and saved 50 cents in registration fees.

This remark almost made Commissar Zhao and Sister Luo lose their composure.

Was the family short of that 50 cents? What the family lacked was a university student.

Not to mention 50 cents, even if it were 5 yuan, the couple would readily pay that amount without hesitation.

But Zhao Qingqing refused to take the exam again no matter what, saying that she wanted to go directly to work.
