It took half an hour just to settle on what to call each other, and when Shen Lie looked at the clock on the wall, it was already 7:30.

Shen Lie rolled up his sleeves, "I'll go cook."

While Shen Lie was busy in the kitchen, Ning Tang wandered around the Shen family's house with nothing to do.

The building had two floors in total. The first floor had a living room, kitchen, and bathroom, with some rosewood furniture placed in the living room, including a long table and chairs. There was also a clock hanging on the wall.

The Erniu floor had three rooms. Ning Tang only took a quick glance and didn't look closely.

Above the Erniu floor was the roof. Perhaps to save space, a fenced rooftop replaced it, and there was a small locked door leading to the rooftop. Ning Tang couldn't go up and could only take a look from afar in the courtyard. It felt empty with nothing interesting to see.

Overall, the two-story small building was spacious and relatively clean and tidy, and Ning Tang was quite satisfied.

After all, this was where she would live in the future, and living comfortably was definitely better.

When Ning Tang finished touring the Erniu floor, Shen Lie had finished cooking.

There was still some rice noodles left in the house, and Shen Lie had also received a gift of a conch from Auntie Luo. He simply cooked a pot of noodles and steamed the conch.

Therefore, what was served on the table were five bowls of thin noodles and a large plate of steamed conch.

Shen Lie looked at the simple thin noodles and said apologetically, "We only have noodles left at home. Let's just make do with this meal. I'll go to the grain and oil station tomorrow to buy some daily necessities."

Ning Tang nodded and picked up the noodles with her chopsticks. She ate three or four bites in just a few Ernius, "It's okay. The noodles are also delicious."

As it turned out, Shen Lie was quite skilled at cooking.

He only added two drops of sesame oil to the simple thin noodles, but the taste was also quite good. The three children were probably hungry and began to eat quickly.

Ning Tang couldn't help but ask Shen Lie curiously while watching the three children eat, "What did they eat while you were away?"

When they came home, they only saw the three children and no adults. Could these three children cook? That would be too precocious.

However, Ning Tang had thought too much.

Shen Lie said, "I have a security guard, and the military has a cafeteria. While I was in Shangan Village these past few days, the security guard would bring the children the meals from the military cafeteria."

Shen Lie glanced at the three children and said, "Two meals a day, one at noon and one in the evening."

Ning Tang's eyes lit up, "Can we go to your army canteen every day to eat?" she asked.

Shen Lie was speechless, "How is that possible? I can eat there, but you can't. This is a special situation. Otherwise, if everyone does this, all military families will go to the army canteen to eat. The army can't handle the consumption," he explained.

"Okay," Ning Tang lowered her eyelids, expressing her disappointment.

After finishing their meal, Shen Lie went to wash the dishes, leaving Ning Tang in the living room with the three children. Ning Tang glanced at the children and continued to tidy up her luggage, which was quite a lot and needed to be sorted out.
