Yesterday when Shen Lie discussed cooking with Ning Tang, they did not avoid the three children. All three children overheard their conversation. Before leaving in the morning, Shen Lie pulled the Dawa, Erniu, and Sanwa aside to remind them that Ning Tang would be cooking lunch that day. Therefore, all three of them knew that Ning Tang was responsible for cooking lunch.

Although they knew, it was already 11 o'clock in the morning, and Ning Tang had not started cooking yet. The stomachs of the three children were growling with hunger.

After being pestered by the Dawa, Ning Tang turned around and helplessly looked at all three of them, "If I wasn't your stepmother, I would definitely give you a spanking."

These were all little rascals from the same family.

However, since it was agreed upon yesterday that she would be cooking lunch, Ning Tang was not someone who would go back on her word. She got up, tidied up, and prepared to go to the market.

Ning Tang took the money that Shen Lie had left and looked outside where the sunlight was shining as usual. She sighed and put on a straw hat for protection before setting off.

Dawa watched her leave and waved, "Stepmom, please hurry back. Erniu and I can hold on, but the Sanwa is starving."

Ning Tang snorted from her nose, considering it as a promise.

After walking a few steps, she suddenly remembered that Shen Lie had told her yesterday that if she wanted to buy groceries, she had to go to the western market on Wave Island. However, she was directionally challenged and did not know the way.

She had to return to Shen's house and take the Dawa with her, "I don't know the way, can you take me there?"

Dawa rubbed their growling stomach and sighed like a little adult, walking ahead, "Follow me."

After about half an hour, the two of them arrived at the market.

The market on Hailang Island is actually a large area about the size of a football field that has been separated out. Inside, there are many fishermen and vegetable sellers wearing bamboo hats and sleeve gloves squatting in front of their baskets shouting to sell their produce.

Ning Tang didn't rush to buy vegetables and instead took a look around.

It was noon, and the morning market had already passed. There weren't many people buying vegetables, but there were about ten or so scattered around.

Ning Tang noticed that several people buying seafood didn't ask for tickets when paying.

She asked her Dawa, "Do you not need tickets when buying fish here?"

Dawa hadn't been to the market very often, let alone bought vegetables, so he shook his head and truthfully replied, "I don't know."

It seemed that she couldn't get an answer from him, so Ning Tang walked up to a fisherman who had set up a stall and asked him, "How much is your crab per kilogram, and do I need a ticket?"

The fisherman smiled and said, "The crab is eight cents per kilogram, and you don't need a ticket."

"How much?" Ning Tang was stunned, thinking she had misheard.

The crab was only eight cents per kilogram? What was the difference between that and being free?

The fisherman patiently repeated, "Eight cents per kilogram, and you don't need a ticket."

He looked Ning Tang up and down, seeing that she was a new face with a northern accent and quite pretty. He explained further, "Our seafood prices here are different from those inland. Seafood is expensive in the inland and needs to be bought with tickets. But here on Hailang Island, we are by the sea and can catch plenty of seafood every day. We can sell what's left after supplying the military to make money and support our families."
