" AN OWL!" Sirius screeched, making Y/N jump. She stared in anticipation as the owl flew closer and closer to the house. In its beak were two letters with the Hogwarts seal. The owl flew into her room first, and with trembling fingers, she clumsily removed the letter from its beak. She could hear Sirius' excited yells from the next room. Both of them bounded down the stairs into the living room.
" Got your letters? We'll be going to Diagon Alley to get your books and stuff next week," their mother said crisply.
"YAYYY!" Sirius and Y/N screamed, running around in the living room.
"What a ruckus..." Regulus mumbled as he walked down the stairs.
"We got our letters, Reg!" Sirius shouted, waving his letter in the air.
"Don't call me Reg," Regulus said darkly. He smiled at Y/N and lifted her up like she was a baby.
" Are you excited, Y/N?" he asked.
"Hey, don't ignore me!" Sirius yelped. Y/N grinned at him.
