After I left the training centre I made my way to Caro's house. They didn't live that far so it only took me like a 20 minute drive to get there. I parked the car and got out of it, rushing to the door, excited to see my good friends.

Without getting the chance to knock, the door swung open, Davi wrapping his arms around me, almost knocking me off of my feet.

'Oh my God!' I laughed. 'How did you know I was here?' I said, my arms now wrapped around him too.

'I heard your car and then I looked out the window and there you were.' he said excitedly. 'Why didn't you tell me you were coming?' he asked, now looking at me.

'I spoke to your mum in the morning and you were at school, so I told her to not say anything.' I shrugged my shoulders. 'I wanted to surprise you.' I threw my arm around his shoulders and guided him into the house.

As soon as I walked in, Valentin sprinted to my legs, wrapping his arms around one of them. I picked him up the floor, making him giggle.

'Hola, cariño. Cómo estás?' (Hey, baby. How are you?) I asked in Spanish, as his English wasn't very good.

'Estoy bien, te extrañé.' (I'm good, I missed you.) He answered in his sweet childlike voice, wrapping his arms around my neck.

'Oh, yo también te extrañé.' (Oh, I missed you too.) I said planting a kiss on his cheek.

Carolina appeared out of no where, looking at us with a big smile on her face. I put down Valentin and walked towards her, a massive smile on my face.

'My dear friend.' she said, pulling me into a hug.

'You're acting like I haven't seen you in years.' I said chuckling.

'It's been two weeks but it felt like an eternity.' she said playfully pushing me.

'Where's Tini?' I asked, referring to her husband.

'He's out with some friends.' she smiled and started walking towards the living room, the three of us following her.

We took a seat on the couch, Davi sitting in between me and his mum, while Valentin climbed onto her lap. I placed my arm around Davi's shoulders, the smile on his face growing even bigger.

We start talking about what I've been up to, Davi fills me in on how school is going, Caro tells me about what they've been doing for the past 2 weeks and so on with the usual.

After we're done with our conversations, Davi stands up and extends his hand out to me. I grab it and help myself up.

'As much as I love talking to you, I'm here for Davi.' I chuckled, planting a kiss on Caro's head and following Davi into the garden. 'But do not worry, we'll get to catch up later.' I winked at her, making her laugh.

Me and Davi start playing some one on one football, him scoring every damn time. We then played some board games till it started getting dark.

'Come on, you have school tomorrow.' I said while we were tidying up.

'Thank you for coming.' he looked at me smiling.

'Thank you for being such a cool kid.' I said ruffling his hair, making him roll his eyes.

'You always do this.' he said with a serious look, fixing his hair, but then broke out into a smile.

After kissing Davi good night and reassuring him that I will come see him again soon, I joined Caro on the couch.

'Did Valentin fall asleep?'
