Yosuke's POV:

Why isn't he taking this seriously!?

For crying out loud, she could be anywhere right now!

Does he actually give a shit!?

Fuck!

I grimace, biting my lip.

I've asked around several times in case anyone has seen her. None have.

Maybe the shopping district isn't such a good idea.

Could she be back home?

I reach in my pocket for my cell, and instantly notice a missed call.

I frown, not being able to recognize the number.

I know I need to keep moving, but they left a voicemail.

I sigh, sliding my headphones onto my ears, speeding up the search.

"Good evening, Hanamura-san. This is Inaba Police Station. You have been requested a visit to one of our inmates. Since he is not speaking to any of our staff, we think it would be extremely beneficial if you came down to the station when you have time. Thank you, and goodbye."

Yu's POV:

"Nanako!" I call, cupping my hands around my mouth to echo the sound.

The night is silent, which only makes me worry more.

She's not stupid. She knows which way home is. There's nothing to be afraid of.

I reach into my back pocket, feeling the dice between my index finger and my thumb, rubbing circles on top of it.

I know he's mad at me for this.

But she'll be okay, won't she? I mean... Surely she wouldn't take any detours?

Oh, shit... I just remembered that I locked the house after Yosuke and I left.

Jesus... She'd have nowhere to go.

How haven't I seen her yet?! I swear, I've looked everywhere.

"Nanako!" I yell again, more desperate this time. "Nanako... please..." My voice ends up cracking as I wipe a tear away.

I sniffle, hearing a low mew.

I look down at my feet and see a ginger cat rubbing itself on my legs.

"...What the...?" I mumble.

The cat mews again, as if it's laughing at me.

I kneel down, scratching behind its ear.

"I'm an idiot, huh?" I sigh.

He buries his face into my hand as a response.

"Are you lost, too?" I ask, feeling for its collar.

But then I freeze.

The name tag reads Fujin.

"...No," I whisper, standing up.

He meows, brushing himself up against me once more.

This... can't be a coincidence... can it?

It sounds as though I've upset him. He's clawing at my legs, begging me to touch him again.

"...No," I mumble, my eyes watering again.
