Yu's POV:

"What if he doesn't come home tonight?" Chie says.

"He will," I assure her.

"How do you know? Maybe something came up at work."

"Nanako says he rarely stays overnight. And never longer," I shrug. "Why should tonight be any different?"

"Maybe he's got other plans."

"He would have told us."

"Okay, but, hypothetically speaking," she clears her throat. "If he doesn't come."

"Then we'd just have to reschedule!"

"That might not be easy."

"Hm? Why not?"

"Yukiko has more shifts at the inn now, and getting a day off is really tough for her."

"Oh, I... didn't think about that," I sigh.

"And Naoto-kun is constantly busy with work. And Rise-chan needs permission from her manager."

"Dammit," I curse, quietly. "Way to ruin the mood, Chie."

"I didn't mean to!" She says, in defense. "I'm just saying. It's not gonna be all that often all of us will be together anymore."

She's right.

And it sucks.

I mean, I'll be leaving next year, too. Then what?

I leave everyone behind again.

Why can't I stay here?

I just want to stay with him.

Yosuke's POV:

I've been trying to get his attention all day, but either Chie's there, preventing me from even getting near him, or Shin is doing the exact same.

It's third period, and we're in the middle of PE.

I end up zoning out, and finding myself smiling at Yu.

He always listens so carefully in classes. Even if he hates them.

But I know for a fact he enjoys PE.

"Anyways, they'll be a basketball competition on Tuesday with the rival school. Anyone can sign up," the teacher says. Then he turns to Yu. "I hope to see you on the court, Narukami."

Yu smiles, nodding. "Yes, sir."

He's going to take part in the basketball competition?

I wonder if he's played any more since last year when he first joined the club.

I only saw him play once or twice, but he was easily the best on the team.

Tuesday. Three more days.

After our teacher dismisses us, Yu runs up to me.

"Hey," he says.

"Hi," I say, trying not to smile too much.

"Are you going to watch the competition on Tuesday?" He asks.

"What?"

"The basketball one."

"Hmm.. I dunno. Basketball's never really been my thing."

"Please?" He smiles. "I'll be playing. I want to see you."

"Yu... I don't know."

"Please. You're my biggest supporter."
