Yu's POV:

I feel my legs turning to jelly beneath me; the whole world spinning.

My first thought is to reach for my phone.

I swipe through my contacts until I find his name.

One ring.

Two rings.

"Hey. Are you okay?"

"Yosuke," I breathe. "I need you."

"What the hell's going on?" He drops something on the other end. Metallic, presumably. "Yu, speak to me."

"I can't..." I sigh.

"You can't what? Yu?"

I try to catch my breath. But it's so hard.

"Food... plain..."

"I'm on my way. Stay on the phone with me, alright?"

"Y-yes."

"Yu, find a wall, and lean against it. Try your best to stay upright."

I do as he says, staggering with every step.

"You done?"

"Yes..."

"Do you have any water with you?" I can hear him running on his line.

"No," I say, my throat scratchy.

"Fuck," he curses.

"Ask around for water, alright?"

"I'm okay."

"Yu, please. I need you to."

I sigh.

I speak as loud as my lungs will let me to anyone nearby. "Water," I say.

A middle aged man looks at me, confused, before walking off.

I repeat myself, louder, this time.

I feel myself going numb.

Just as I'm about to give up, I can see two figures running up to me.

"Hey, are you alright?" Kou asks.

"Does he look alright to you?" Daisuke scoffs. "Here." He hands his sweaty water bottle to me, and I chug it swiftly before nodding my thanks.

"Hey, what's going on?" Kou says. "We saw you from over there."

"We were just on a jog, and seen you feelin' sorry for yourself against this wall." Daisuke pauses, looking at my bloody shirt. "Oh, shit. Uh, sorry... About that."

"It's okay," I try to smile. "I'm glad you guys were around."

"Of course!" Kou chuckles. "Trio for life."

"Just give us a call next time, okay?" Daisuke says.

"Yu!" Yosuke calls, running toward us.

"Yosuke?" I breathe. I stumble, and both Daisuke and Kou catch me.

"Easy, tiger," Kou teases.

"Fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck," Yosuke curses.

"It's not as bad as it looks," I shrug.

"I'm calling an ambulance."

"No, no, no," I object. "Please, don't."

"Yu, this has happened twice now. I'm not letting there be a third."

"Something happened. It wasn't just a coincidence," I tell him.

"What happened? Where is Shin?"

I shake my head. "That's not important."
