It was Monday and to say that Emily dreaded going back was an understatement. not because she hated Mondays overall — but mostly because she's going to see Amelia.
she waved to Antonella and met up with Delfi in the front. Delfi immediately smiled once she saw her best friend and Emily engulfed her in a hug.
"i'm so glad i see you." Delfina said and Emily frowned as she pulled away from the hug. "why? we talked yesterday" Emily said.
"i wanted to know what your dad said about you and Enzo" Delfina said and they walked into the school. Emily just shrugged.
"at first , he was mad" Emily said and Delfi looked up at her. "but then , i went to talk to him about it and he supported me" Emily said.
"he made it clear that he didn't like Enzo at all" Emily began and Delfi nodded her head. "same" she said , causing Emily to playfully rolled her eyes.
"but i'm just glad he didn't like...send me back to Argentina or something" Emily chuckled and Delfi playfully shoved her.
"even if he did ,i'd let it haunt him forever" she said , causing Emily to laugh.
their laughter died as they saw Amelia walk up to them , with a big smile on her face , in her usual school attire.
"hey ,i missed you guys" she said and smiled. Emily looked at the ground while Delfina just mugged her.
"what?" she asked innocently. "you have some nerve" Delfina said. "did you forget about what you did at the party? asking Emily that stupid question?" Delfina asked again.
"i'm sorry , Emily...i didn't mean that..." Amelia trailed off and Emily just shook her head. "it's okay , it's fine" Emily said and Delfina looked at her with disbelief.
"so you forgive me?" Amelia asked with a smile. "yes , but we can't be friends anymore." Emily began.
"why? i said sorry" Amelia said through gritted teeth. "what's stopping you from not doing it again in the future? i'm sorry but i don't think we can be friends anymore..." Emily trailed off.
"I'd love it if you would keep your distance from me and Delfi" Emily said and walked around her , leaving her standing there ,thinking about what just happened.
Emily felt Delfi's presence behind her as they walked to class and Delfi just shook her head with a smile.
"my anger issues would never"
