Y/n's POV
"You- what?!" She cut herself off and shouts in surprise. "Y- you mean to say. We're soulmates?!" She asks slowly, making sure I heard each word right.
"I know. I'm surprised as well." I said while avoiding her gaze and taking a seat on one of the couches.
"Honestly. How could this even be possible?!" She freaks out and starts to pace from left to right in front of the fireplace.
"Hey! I'm not that bad!" I shout, making an offended expression with a hand on my chest.
She stops pacing, looks me in the eyes with a glare and scoffs before going back to pacing. Well that just hurt me for real now.
"Well damn, Granger. It's not my fault the gods wanted you to be my soulmate. You didn't need to judge my looks." I snapped after letting out a huff. I stood up from the couch and was about to go out of the painting when she called for me.
"Y/n!"
I sighed deeply and stopped my tracks. "Please, Hermione. Let's just forget about this alright?"
"What if I don't want to forget this?" She challenges me, stepping closer after every word.
"Then don't. You're a big girl, you make your own choices." I rolled my eyes and started walking again.
But she grabs my wrist and turns me around so I was looking at her. We ended up face to face, inches apart. She was looking up at me as my head tilted down to meet her gaze.
"I didn't mean to offend you or make you feel insecure. I was just worried of what would happen to us now." She whispers as her eyes flicker from my eyes to my lips and back to my eyes.
"Would it be a bad time to tell you I've liked you since third year?" I whisper back, biting my lip as I wait for her response.
"Would it be a bad time to tell you I've liked you too?" She asks back as our faces inches closer and closer.
I close the space in between us, wrapping my arms around her waist as she wrapped hers around my neck. Our lips danced with each other as we moved with so much passion.
Pulling away from each other, I rest our foreheads together as I whispered
"I think not."
