Canadian Zombies

"Hello muddah, hello faddah. Greetings from Camp Marijuana. Big bud's good here.-" Lilly sang.

"Big bud's good here. Hash is better. I'm so stoned that I can hardly write this letter." Doc finished her song.

"Here we are. Cannabis country." Lilly said.

"Oh my God. Those aren't pot leaves, dear. They're maple leaves. Those are Canadian flags." Murphy explained.

"Oh. Canada." Lilly said.

"So this is Canada." 10k said.

"Newmerica's probably less than two day's drive now." Doc said.

"Barring any unforeseen zombie action." Lilly said.

"Well what do you say, chief?" Doc asked.

"She's not the chief anymore. She said so herself." Murphy said.

"Shut up, Murphy. Are we doing this?" Doc asked.

"We're doing this." Warren said.

"Frozen waste land of peace, here I come. " Murphy said

"Kinda seems too good to be true." 10k said.

"Yeah, I know what you mean, kid. I remember when Newmerica was called California. It's just so hard to believe anything anymore." Doc said.

"Yeah, well I'm back to believing in nobody but myself. I'm still alive, and I keep going." Murphy said.

"Yeah, you're like a cockroach that way." Warren said.

"Yeah, well you know what they say about cockroaches? They survive. And I plan to keep on surviving thank you very much" Murphy said. Growling and snarling from behind grabbed everyone's attention.

"Oh, tabernac!" Murphy called.

"Warren, check your three." Lilly said.

"More coming, Sarge. 12 o'clock." Tommy said. We all aimed our guns.

"Quit playing with it." I said when Lilly was messing with her zombie.

"Fine. But I'm keeping this." Lilly said.

"Well I don't mean to stereotype, but those were the nicest zombies I've ever seen." Doc commented.

"I know, eh?" Murphy said.

"Back to America. Run!" Warren said.

We're now held up in a church hiding from zombies. We began to search and clear the building.

"Jesus! Guys! This is why I hate organized religion!" Murphy shouted from the balcony. I shot one zombie and the other one fell as well. I looked to my right and Tommy stood there.

"My savior." Murphy said.

Tommy pointed behind him to our leader.

"Warren." Murphy said.

She tilted her head. Doc and Lilly appeared beside him. Warren signaled again for them to come down and join us.

"As if Catholic School didn't scare me enough. Oh, no, no, no!" Doc said backing into the water bowl Murphy was drinking from.

"Christ!" Murphy yelled when the water connected.

"Ah, I'm going to hell even more than I was before." Doc panicked.

"We're already in hell, Doc. Can only go up from here. Look, the original zombie got up and walked away." Murphy said.

"Man, have some respect." Doc said flicking the water off his hand and into Murphy's face.
