spoiling you all this week

Sydney

"Syd, relax. You're gonna smell like an ashtray." Jess said, grabbing my cigarette and throwing it out of the cracked window.

"Oi!" I snapped, playfully hitting her.

We were on our way to the Dunkirk premiere and I was shitting it. Jess, my manager, was accompanying me whilst Harry was walking the carpet.

He had stuck to his promise of inviting me but I didn't want to take away from his time and decided to meet him after he'd been on the red carpet. I wanted this to be Harry's moment.

I had been to many events and carpets before, that wasn't why I was nervous. I was nervous about who I was going to meet when I got to the event.

Harry's mother.

I'd never really met a boyfriends mum before and I was so scared. I knew she would be the most perfect lady ever and I was terrified she wouldn't like me.

"I'm freaked about meeting Harry's mum okay, let me smoke it's my only vice." I pleaded with Jess as we drove closer and closer to the premiere.

"Yes I know, but you don't want to meet her smelling like you've chain smoked the whole way there." Jess replied, knowing I had no leg to stand on.

"You're right I'm sorry. How close are we Leo?" I asked the driver, through the window separating him from the seats.

"We'll be there in 2 minutes Miss Lewis." He replied, in a jolly tone.

"God I'm gonna be sick." I groaned, putting my hand to my head. I was trying hard not to pass out or yack in this car.

"Would you like some music Miss Lewis?" Leo asked kindly, and I replied quickly, "Yes please."

He turned on the radio and I saw he had the station, "Jazz FM" selected. Quietly, I heard the song The Way You Look Tonight start. I smiled at the beautiful song, a second of peace taking over my body.

"Sydney, it's okay. Nothing bad is going to happen, she'll love you." Jess reassured, placing her hand on my exposed shoulder.

I was wearing a custom green silk dress, inspired by Elvira Hancock from Scarface, made by Alessandro at Gucci. It was a beautiful Italian silk and had a slit that came just above my thigh.

I had my hair curled and I was wearing my gold stiletto heals. For once I wasn't wearing a red lip and had a shimmery gold eye look paired with a nude lipgloss.

I felt really beautiful but my nerves were still insane.

"Can you pass me my clutch, I have a perfume in there." I asked Jess, as she went to grab my small gold clutch bag.

"Just breathe. You look great, you're going to a great event with a guy that's obsessed with you and it's gonna be amazing." Jess did her best to comfort me, it was her job after all.

Her words made me feel slightly better, until I began hearing photographers and cameras outside. I took a peak out the window and saw we were outside the premiere and the carpet entrance.

"Jesus." I mumbled under my breath.

"You'll be okay. Stick on a smile and walk, it'll be over before you know it." She said, as Leo opened the door and I stepped onto the carpet.

I followed her advice and put on my 'celebrity persona', smiling and waving to all the cameras. They shouted my name, telling me to pose and smile and I obliged. Jess walked ahead of me, showing where I needed to stand as I came onto the real carpet.
