The time had arrived for the first dance. From what I found on google, the first dance was to open the dance floor for everyone else. Lucky for Daniel, Caz took dance lessons right through school before she went to Uni. I on the other hand, had no rhythm to save my life. Don't get me wrong, I can twerk and shake it like a salt shaker...when I'm drunk, otherwise I'm just an unrhythmic white girl on the dance floor. I've had two large glasses of vodka and a few glasses of wine and I could slowly feel myself getting a wee bit tipsy...whoopsy. I really hope no one asks me to dance. I am still furious at my father and I don't want to be in the same marquee as him let alone dance with him.

"Pease, can I have Carol and Daniel come up here for there first dance." Uncle Tom's voice came through the sound system and gave me a fright.

Caz turned and squeezed my thigh before Daniel escorted her to the dance floor. At Last by Etta James started playing and they started to sway hypnotically to the song. The were both so lost in each others eyes and I found myself wiping a stray tear from my face. You could feel love radiating off of them. They were so in love.

"Can I have this dance?" I turned to my side and looked up to see Jack smiling at me slightly. Instantly my heart started to pick up and I felt my cheeks flush before a small flame was ignited and I found myself blushing.

I cleared my throat before speaking. "I don't really dance." And I can barely stand next to you without blushing or being overly friendly, nice, aggressive all at once.

"Neither, but I want to dance with you. Please?" He made a puppy face and I couldn't help but laugh. Not laugh, giggle. I'm a grown ass woman and here I am giggling like I'm some kind of school girl. Before I knew what my feet where doing, I was already being lead to the dance floor. Jack and I, joined Caz and Daniel on the dance floor before he put his hand in mine and I placed my hand on his right shoulder. We started to sway to the music and I found myself staring any where but directly at him.

"This is nice." He stated simply. He smelt so good. He slipped his hand behind my back and pulled me closer, I couldn't help the smile that creeped onto my face. "Have I told you how beautiful you look tonight?"

"Yeah, you've told me once or twice." I said confidently as the booze was finally started to do its job.

"Well let me tell you again. You look beautiful." I turned my head and look at him deeply. He looked back at me longingly, like he hadn't seen me in a long time.

"Well, thank you. You look very beautiful too...I mean hansome...goodlooking. Aw fuck it,you look fucking sexy! There, I said it!" He laughed and his face wrinkled in all the right places. He looked beautiful when he laughed and I couldn't help but smile at him.

"That was very honest of you. Have you been drinking?" He smerked.

"Did you not hear a word of my speech? It was Vodka and Jaegermiester up there, not me." I stated.

"Ah, the infamous Vodka and Jaegermiester. I like when your relaxed around me, it makes me feel like I have a chance."

"Have a chance with who?"

He paused an unbearably long paused before he scanned the crowd surrounding us. Who turned to me slowly and then looked at me seriously. This is it. This is where he tell me he loves me and how he wants to take me to bed. Thank you JESUS! "With the-,"

"Excuse me Jack, can I please borrow Cameron for a dance?" I turned and saw Callum smiling sweetly at me. Noooooooooooooo! This kid had the worst timing in the world! What was he going to say? Jack smiled at me and then to Callum, before he turned and walk away. I looked at Callum a glared at him.

"What?" He asked casually.

"What! Jack was about to tell me who he had a 'chance' with."

"Oh! Spoiler alert, its you! He hasn't stopped looking at you the whole day. You both look very cozy just then, but thats not the reason I interrupted you. I dont..." Callum paused for such a long time, I thought he had forgotten what he was going to say.

"Well?"

"Its that...I don't have the courage to ask Emily to dance." He stated as he looked over my shoulder. Emily was standing next to Nana and she was smiling but she looked as though she wanted to dance.

"Oh, come on! Just grow a vagina and go and ask her to dance!"

"Grow a vagina? Where do you come up with this shit?" He said as he tried not to double over and laugh.

"Well if you think about it, when you kick a guy in the balls he experiences pain and men complain, but vaginas on the other hand take a pounding. So, wouldn't you rather grow a vagina?"

He looked at me sideways before smiling brightly. "No, I like my balls and penis just fine thanks. You're so weird and that is why you're single."

"At least I'm not scared to ask someone to dance." I countered. He smerked at me for a long time and we carried on dancing. Soon enough the song came to an end and dessert was served.

"I saw you geeting abit cozy with Jack there." Sarah teased as she tried to tickle me.

"And Callum." Emily sneered next to Sarah.

"What?" I asked her.

"Back off from Callum he's mine." I looked at Emily and smiled a sadistic smile. Girl, is mad as hell!

"I can't help it, if Callum finds me attractive!" Her eyes went into slits and her lips were pulled into a thin line. I am a bitch sometimes, but this girl was going to learn one day that if she wanted something in life she had to fight for it.

"Fuck off Cameron!" She said through gritted teeth.

"Why are you so mad? Don't like a bit of competition?"

"You are a bitch! Back off!" Emily stood up and walked out of the marquee hurriedly. Maybe I went a bit too far. I was just trying to get her to open up and find her courage to admit it fully that she liked Callum. I stood up slowly and followed her out the marquee.

"Emily! Wait up!" Emily had stopped when she walked into the building we were in only an hour ago. I stepped inside and you could feel the tension like it was a blanket smothering everyone.
