Once I was finished I checked the time on my phone.

11:11am

I sighed and lay down on my bed.

"Mommy" I called for my mom. Seconds later she was in my room.

"What's wrong? You never call me mommy unless something is bothering you" she sat down beside me on my bed.

"I think Erika is going to murder me today" I joked. My mother scoffed and hit me lightly on the thigh.

"Okay maybe not murder but she won't tell me what she has planned for today and it's bothering me" I whined. My mother rolled her eyes at me.

"Kina Song you are many things but patient is not one of them. You have never liked surprises" she chuckled. I furrowed my eyebrows and pouted. When I realised what I was doing I stopped immediately.

My mother checked the time on her phone before standing up from my bed.

"It's 11:30 we should start going if you want to make it on time" she said. I got up out of bed and put up the shoes closest to me.

If Erika's house was anything like Cassie's I wouldn't be needing the shoes for very long. I grabbed my phone and walked downstairs to where my mother was waiting for me.

My mother drove slowly to Erika's house. As we got closer I could feel my heart picking up speed. The suspense of not knowing what she was planning was killing me.

As my mom pulled up to Erika's house I felt like I was going to throw up.

"You'll be fine Kina. Just go" my mother reassured. I took a deep breath and got out of the car. I walked to Erika's front door and rang the door bell.

Erika appeared at the front door. Her hair had a streak of what looked like flour in it.  She smiled and her brown eyes glistened as they met mine.

"Hi. Come in" she smiled. I walked into the house and she shut the door behind me.

"You're a no shoes house right?" I asked. She nodded. I took off my shoes and followed her through the house. The smell of chocolate cupcakes was the first thing I noticed.

Well that explains the flour

"So are you going to tell me what you have planned for today?" I asked. Erika didn't answer. Instead she grabbed my hand and dragged me to her living room.

It was decorated with fairy lights and candles. A pink picnic blanket sat in the middle of the room with a picnic basket sitting on top of it.

"Welcome to your first taste of Korean romance but Erika style" she beamed. I took in the beauty of the room's aesthetic. It must have taken Erika forever to do this.

"Well show me what Korean romance is like" I smiled. Erika clapped her hands excitedly before pulling me towards the picnic blanket. We sat down and Erika turned on the T.V.

"Are there any k-dramas you wanna watch?" she asked as she pulled up her profile on Netflix. I covered my face with my hands and laughed awkwardly.

"To be honest I've never actually watched any k-dramas" I admitted. Erika gasped and her hand flew to her mouth.

"I'm both disappointed and happy because now I can influence you to like the ones I like" she clapped excitedly. Erika scrolled through the romantic dramas on her list. I couldn't help but admire her appearance.

"We're going to watch Tale of The Nine Tailed" her voice pulled me from my daze. She started episode one and cuddled into me. I put my arm around her and gently kissed her forehead.

I couldn't help but let my eyes wonder to Erika every once in a while. My concentration was split between what was happening in the drama.

We were on episode four and Lee Yeon the main male lead was currently in hell running through knives in order to get back to the normal world to save Ji-ah.

"She's going to get murdered by a bunch of dead children" I sighed. Erika placed a strawberry in my mouth to shut me up.

"If you watch you'll see what happens" she deadpanned. I continued to watch as the main female lead was backed closer and closer to the edge of the building.

As she fell, the main male lead arrived just in time to break her fall and save her life. Erika sighed in relief as if she had never watched this drama before.

"Why does he keep saving her if she's not his true love?" I asked. Erika looked briefly at me before motioning back to the tv.

Ji-ah cried while holding the body of a very injured Yeon. As a tear falls on his cheek a golden glow surrounds them.

"I did not see that coming" I chuckled.

"I told you she was his true love" Erika giggled. My heart fluttered at the sound.

I lifted her chin with my finger so that I could look into her eyes. Her breathing sped up slightly as she struggled to maintain eye contact with me.

"You look beautiful today I can barely focus on the drama" I whispered to her.

"Thank you" she whispered back. I leaned in closer causing her eyes to flutter shut.

"Erika I can't do this anymore" I murmured.

"Do what?"

"Pretend that I'm happy being unoffically official. I want to be your girlfriend. I want to be with you" I caressed her cheek. She instinctively leaned in to my touch.

"I don't want either of us to get hurt" she whispered.

"I promise I won't hurt you. Just give this, us a chance"

The only sound in the room was that of the end credits on the drama we were supposed to be watching. I leaned in closer so that our faces were inches apart.

"It wouldn't hurt to try" Erika said softly. I continued to caress her cheek gently.

"Can I kiss you?" I asked finally.

"Please" she whispered.

I closed the distance between us. Her lips still had the remanence of the pink lemonade she was drinking earlier.

She pulled away much sooner than I would have liked. I pulled her back in again. Her soft lips against mine.

Pure bliss.

For Erika was finally mine.
