~Storm's P.O.V.~

A week had passed by, and I fell into a routine. In the morning after breakfast, I spent with the Corellian Council working on endless delegations until lunchtime. Then after lunch, I slipped out of the palace and to the base, where I'd help them in any way I could, whether that would be passing out rations to those who needed them, playing with the kids, helping them forget about their pasts, and their pain, hoping to make things better, training those who wished to fight should that time come, meetings with the base's council, and so forth. And that is where I was now at the base in the council meeting room. There were seven heads in the council; Jax, Hal Horn, Inyri Ardellian, Myn Rann, Bren Vigil, Corran Creel, and Drea Duine.

And then, there was one who would be in charge of the council, which everyone agreed and voted on me filling that role. Hal was from born and raised here on Corellia, like me. He was working with the CorSec, and I knew he was Force-sensitive. And I wondered whether he was a Corellian Jedi or something else, but I never confronted him. And yet I may, if there was another Jedi, I needed to know. Together, we were stronger. Inyri, she's a human from Kor Vella, a town here on Corellia. She has golden brown skin and amber eyes. Inyri reminded me of my Master, not because of her appearance, but the way she acted and stood, holding her head high, despite what life threw at her, and she kept going, even if she was knocked to the ground. Inyri was stern, but she meant well, just like Master Allie.

Myn was not from around here. He's a Czerialan from the planet Czerialus. He had fled when his home when the Empire arrived, cracking down on the planet. Bren's a male Theelin, coming from the Underworld of Coruscant. He has light pink skin with short lavender and blue hair with six horns on his head. Corran was an Atoan, who also fled his home planet, landing here. Drea, she was another human. She was from Bela Vistal, a mountain town in Corellia. She has tan skin, long chocolate brown hair with silver tips, and chocolate brown eyes. Legends say she was the last of the long lost Corellian Royal Family. Whether it was true or not, she definitely came from a well off family. Drea wore an elegant green dress, which she kept hidden over a black cloak.

"We can't turn away those who come to us. They need us." Drea urged with an authoritative yet dulcet tone. "The Empire does not care for us. We need to take care for our people. The base is spacious enough for everyone."

It was times like this, when I wondered if I was the right person for this job. Clearly, there was people here who knew more about this than me. Immediately, Myn spoke up. "The base is big, yes, but there is only so many civilians we can take in before the Empire notices."

"If that happens, then we all risk the danger of being imprisoned." Corran chimed in, backing up Myn.

Jax scoffed as he crossed his four arms. "We won't be imprisoned. We'll all be killed."

"Not without a fair trial." Hal argued.

"You think the Empire would do anything of the sort. They take one look at us and it's all over." Inyri reminded us. "The Empire doesn't care about justice, it only cares about power and control."

"What we need is to find another planet that will help us out." Bren suggested.

Corran raised an eyebrow. "And you think it'll be easy? We cannot trust anyone nowadays."

"But we need to have hope." Drea protested.

"Hope?" Corran repeated in disbelief. "Hope will not get us anywhere."

"Hope is everything, especially at a time like this." Drea insisted.

"Why don't we ask General Ca'ana's thoughts?" Jax suggested.

All eyes turned towards me at Jax's words. I mentally cursed. I insisted that they not use that title anymore with me, but they didn't listen. I thought about everyone's suggestions, pondering what would be the best option for the base and for everyone here. After careful thinking, I answered.
