Chapter 24: Facing Alioth

"Good luck. I hope you find what you're looking for." The older Loki said. 

Loki and I gave them nods and smiles. I then spoke up. "Thank you for everything, and may the Force be with you all."

I noticed confused looks on their faces. Immediately, Seda translated. "She means good luck."

Dooku turned towards the older Loki and to the kid Loki. And to my surprise, he gave them a bow. "As much as this pains me, I must admit that I wouldn't have lasted this long with your help...so I thank you. It's been an honor."

"The honor has been ours, Count." The older Loki replied, extending his hand out towards Dooku.

Dooku then took his hand, giving it a shake. The Loki alligator let out a sad growl as he glanced over at me. I could feel his sadness at once. I approached him at once, giving him a hug.

"Hey, it's all right. This may not be the last time we see each other." I mentioned. "If we survive this, we may see each other again one day."

The alligator let out a growl, saying that I reminded him of a leopard, who he loved dearly. Her name's Silvermist, and she was quite feisty, but had a heart of gold.

"Well, I'm sure you'll see her again." I assured him, earning a happy growl from him.

After we said our farewells, the three Lokis took off. Once the Lokis left, Mobius opened a timedoor before glancing over at Loki. "Looks like you got away in the end."

"I always do. What will you do at the TVA?" Loki asked.

"Burn it to the ground. Thanks for the spark." Mobius replied.

Loki, Sylvie, Seda, and I couldn't help but smile upon hearing his words. Mobius extended out his hand towards Loki. "See you later, Loki."

Loki hesitated before making his way towards Mobius, giving him a hug. He then responded. "Thank you, my friend."

Mobius whispered. "You're my favorite."

Mobius then made his way towards me. I immediately wrapped my arms around him, pulling him into a hug, which he returned. Mobius then whispered. "Out of all the cases I've taken, you and Loki are my favorite couple. I'm still rooting for the both of you by the way."

I let out a chuckle. Of course he was. I then whispered back. "Don't worry, I'll do everything I can."

As soon as Mobius and I pulled away from the hug, Mobius looked at me, taken back. He knew what I meant by my words. A smile then grew on his face as his eyes lit up. "I knew it. I knew you would."

I cracked a smile. "You sure did. Thank you for everything, Mobius. You're truly a great friend."

Mobius's smile widened. "So are you, Storm."

Once Mobius left through the timedoor, it vanished. Dooku, Seda, Sylvie, Loki, and I exchanged looks before making our way down into the valleys towards Alioth. I watched as strange looking birds ran past us in the other direction away from us.

"When a branch appears, Alioth will focus on it. That's when I'll enchant it and Seda and Storm will help me by using the Force." Sylvie mentioned.

In a matter of moments, Alioth with clouds all around him, made his way towards us. I could hear his roar, sending a shiver up my spine. Loki glanced over at Sylvie. "What if we don't have time to wait for a branch?"

"We'll have to cause a distraction." Sylvie explained.

Loki then placed a hand on my shoulder. I turned to look at Loki to see that he was prepared to be the distraction. My heart clenched. Immediately, I shook my head. "No, Loki, you can't..."
