"Look darling, we're wearing matching outfits." Loki teased, wearing a smirk.

Oh how I wish I could wipe that smirk off of his face. I narrowed my eyes at him. "Oh drok it, you earworm."

"How nice of you, princess." Loki shot back.

"Enough with the nicknames, you Kath hound!" I protested.

"You first." Loki argued. "You mewling--"

"Hey!" Hunter B-15 shouted, breaking up our bickering. "I don't want anybody out there to forget what you two are."

"Oh, your only hope of capturing the murderers?" Loki asked, taunting her.

"No. They're cosmic mistakes." Hunter B-15 corrected.

"That's enough." Mobius warned.

"Lovely." Loki retorted.

"Here's the deal. When we get out on the branch, we're not just looking for Time Criminals. One of the Variants we're looking for is a Loki. A variation of this guy." Mobius began. "A type we should all be familiar with, because the TVA has prunned a lotta these guys, almost more than any other Variant. And no two are alike."

We then saw different versions of Loki through Mobius's holopad as he showed us different holograms. Some were intriguing, while others were strange. One caught my attention, there was one Loki with blue skin, black long hair, and red eyes, reminding me of a Chiss.

"Slight differences in appearances, or not so slight." Mobius continued. "Different powers, although, powers, generally include shape-shifting, illusion-projection, and my favorite-"

"Duplication-casting." Loki mentioned.

"Illusion-projection." Mobius corrected as he turned off the holograms.

"No, they're two completely different powers." Loki argued.

Mobius raised an eyebrow. "How?"

"Illusion-projection involves depicting a detailed image from outside oneself, which is perceptible in the external world, whereas duplication-casting entails recreating an exact facsimile of one's own body, in its present circumstance, which acts as a true holographic mirror of its molecular structure." Loki explained. "But you already knew that."

I stared at Loki in awe. He was right, not that I'd ever say that out loud. Loki must've sensed my gaze as he turned to face me. A smirk appeared on his face. "Impressed, darling?"

I scoffed. "You wish, eharl."

"Okay, take a breath." Mobius advised. "Noted."

"And what about this Storm Variant? " I questioned.

At my words, Mobius turned on a hologram, revealing myself with pale gray skin with markings across her face, long silver blonde hair, orange eyes, and wearing the same clothing as when I was Darth Naexle. How exactly did she become a Variant? And with that in mind, I decided to ask the burning question on my mind.

"This is the other Variant that we're searching for." Mobius announced.

"And how did she become a Variant?" I inquired.

"She craved more power, wanting more. But it wasn't enough. She ended up killing her Sith Master, her grandfather, in his sleep." Mobius informed me.

My eyes widened. She killed Dooku? And what about Grievous? The Separatists? Before I could ask any more questions, Mobius changed the subject. "We're gonna break into two teams, including myself, Storm, and Professor Loki."
