After five minutes I arrived at the main entrance of Gotar prison and I saw about thirty security guards outside waiting. They were all talking to one another, laughing, and there were some clear nerves in them.

"My queen?" I heard a voice state and I froze at the spot. No, I couldn't deal with that voice right now. I first had to do what I had to do, go to a family member of mine. But I couldn't do that right now, as I heard that voice. I couldn't ignore that voice. I turned around and my eyes widened as I saw someone that, when I last saw him was 16 years old. Right now though he was an actual man. His blonde hair went all over the place and on his face was the recognsable loving look.

"Dave?" I stammered in total and utter shock and I gulped. He had muscles for days, he had trained a lot, it was insane. He was looking at me in shock too, and tears appeared in his face. "I was just going to visit the bakery to go to your mum." I said in a bit of panic. "I haven't- I couldn't." I said apologising.

"Mum doesn't work at the bakery anymore." Dave said looking at me as a tear fell and I frowned.

"Why not?" I replied in shock.

"During the funeral of Princess Lea, her sons, husband and Prince Oliver, we were attacked. The bakery one of the places that was attacked." He said carefully and my eyes widened.

"No." I said shaking my head frowning. "That's impossible." I said. "They would've told me." I said as tears started to stream down my face as my body was shaking. "Your dad?" I practically begged and he shook his head and I then couldn't help but burst out into sobs as I realised this boy was all alone. "I'm so-." I started but he then did something that could get him punished, but I would never be able to punish him, and he walked forward and wrapped his arms around me to hold me. "I tried to protect him. I'm so sorry." I said through my sobs as I held onto him so fucking tightly that I was afraid he'd break.

"It's not your fault." He stammered. "Your husbands have been nothing but kind to me. Your sister-in-law, Natalie, helped me. I'm currently the head of the 8th floor. I'm doing great. They would be so proud of me." He said and I backed away to look at him and he stared back at me wiping tears from my face. "They are in the highest tier a commoner can be in Seglusa's Keep, and whenever I perish I will join them."

"But. How did your father? What?" I said in shock and I looked at him. "You're so- I." I shook my head as my mind was all fuzzy.

"On the day Locatlie was attacked and you were taken, your husband King William, came to our house and told us that there had been an attack on the island." He explained and I nodded as I held onto his hand tightly, and he accepted it. "They were sending a team to the island to get the Local people back. A day later King William arrived at our doorstep and told us they couldn't find Danny. Danny had written to us that he fell in love with Lotus and that when the war was over, he'd bring her to Locatlie and would spend his whole life protecting her." He stammered. "So, I sort of knew that he would never let her get taken without going himself." He explained and my whole body shut down as I tried to think back to that day. "We don't know what happened to him, but he's dead. When mum heard that she was a mess, but she tried to be strong. She went to work on the day of the funeral and she got murdered by a bomb." He said and tears were rolling down my cheeks as I tried to process what he was saying. "When dad found out, he got a heart attack and they were too late."

"You lost your whole family in a week time?" I stammered and he nodded slowly. "O, Dave, I'm so sorry."

"It is perfectly fine. I got a leave of absence for a month to go to Brusta. Was allowed time with High Priestess Polly herself. After that month I came back and I continued my internship with King Trevor, or I thought that would be what I was doing. But that wasn't possible because he was so busy and uhm- King William thought it wouldn't be smart to have me around King Trevor as his emotions were all over the place and I was a reminder of you for him. I got a job as the second man on the 8th floor and I took over two months ago."

"what is the eighth floor again?" I stammered looking at him and he smiled very widely.

"It's X-8. It's really exciting." He said with a huge smile and I nodded looking at him but then shook my head as I started to sob again and I hugged him tightly.

"He died shortly after we arrived." I whispered softly in his ear and Dave held onto me tighter. "He wasn't a woman, so they didn't have a prolonged use for him." I stammered. "I uhm." I took a step back, I had to tell him this. "I was with him after he died until he wasn't recognisable anymore." I said and he stared at me confused for a second before realising what that meant. "From what I could see, he wasn't tortured a whole lot. He didn't know a lot of information, or at least that's what he acted on. He obviously knew more than my sisters and parents, but they didn't know that. He was great. You can be so proud of him." I said and he let go of me and grabbed my face.

"He protected the Queen of Locatlie and her family and died protecting them. Proud is an understatement." He said and I nodded slowly looking at him. "I do have to get to work though-."

"I'll join you, well not to your work. Going to B3, my husbands have meetings." I said and he nodded slowly as we went into the elevator together. He stepped out at his floor and I gave him a swift hug before he left.

The moment his calming presence disappeared; it was replaced with anger.
