Omniscient POV

Kennedy and Larenze sit in the parking garage of Kaylas condo eating their food together while indulging in small conversation and laughs to waste time until kayla and toosi get back from the movies .

They decided to go to raising canes for something to eat , and since they haven't seen each other since him and Vons altercation , Larenze felt it would be a perfect time to catch up on things and rekindle with Kennedy for all the lost time . He looks at her like a real friend and it kind of hurt him when they had to end things . He enjoyed her company so much while it lasted .

Mean while Kennedys mind is completely clouded and not even worried about Larenze presence at the moment . She's to focused on what's going to happen when she gets home and all the conflict that's been going on in her life for a while now .

For a second being around a new man made her forget about the problems she has with her own one and now she has no idea how she's going to fix her relationship . Especially since the kitty thing didn't workout, now she has no good news to bring home to butter him up later so he has a reason to forgive her . She just wants to make him happy and nothings working , she's starting to wonder if it's just not meant anymore .

"You okay ? "Larenze asks noticing how her mood changed so suddenly

"Yeah I'm fine "she lies closing her half eaten box of food putting it in the bag . "Just thinking "she tells him

"About von ? "He asks while she nods . "How y'all doing ? " he questions catching her off guard

"Who ? me and von ? " she furrows her eyebrows while he busts out laughing

"Yeah I'm sorry I can't asks ?"

"Nah it's not that "she shakes her head "I just didn't think you cared , especially after what happened last time you were here " she mumbles looking off while he smile nodding

"Eh i know I shouldn't but I kinda like him " he says honestly "plus what he did was justified I was out of line last time . I shouldn't have been talking crazy to that man about his woman . It's a respect thing "he expresses making Kennedy look at him with a small smile covering her face

"Wow that's really mature of you to admit " she tells him while he nods

"It's the truth , he's cool ain't no hard feelings "

"Damn I wish he could hear all this so he could feel the same way about you "she laughs a little knowing that even if von did hear how Larenze felt about the situation he still wouldn't forgive him . Once Von has a perception on someone he sticks to it and it's beef until the day they drop dead . That's what he believes so he sticks to it

"It doesn't matter "Larenze starts "I understand the type of guy he is so I get why he does what he does . "He explains "At first I was judging him and thinking you deserved better but honestly you balance him out , yall might be made for each other "

"I thought the same thing " Kennedy mumbles feeling herself become sad thinking of all the problems her and vons been going through causing her to question if their really made for each other or if they just grew out of each other to soon already .
