Ezekiel joined us after his shower and looked at Luce curiously. "She loves us as well."
He nodded and picked me up to sit on his lap. "So..."
I swirled my 20th shot since Xavier arrived. "Going for Xavier or you is suicide. You can both hold your own."
My twin topped us off, equally as displeased. "Zoey... she would be the on-"
Ezekiel crushed his glass as Lucinda slammed hers down, making me glare at them. "Wake her and you can both leave."
They forced themselves to calm. "Violet, this isn-"
My body started to tremble with rage. "Okay? You think we don't know that?"
We all took a breath as I looked at her door. "The problem is... we can't find an out, we are still on edge no matter what we plan..."
I bit my lip. "Whatever is going to happen is out of our hands unless..." I closed my eyes. "Unless I let myself be taken."
Ezekiel's fury knocked the breath from my lungs. "No." He struggled to control his voice and I looked at my twin who nodded as he took his mate's hand.
They blinked as we were at his house and I looked into the green and crimson eyes of both our mates. I checked and prayed that Amethyst would disagree, but we were certain. "We tell you so you will be prepared for what comes after. You have to get to me before he finishes the transition."
He growled and began to pace. "We won't let you... Amethyst could die. What abo-"
"She won't be with me Ezekiel, she will be the one to lead you to me."
He froze. "Wha-"
I touched my chest as parting was a painful thoight for us both. "There is a way... it will leave me as a human and my body too weak to complete the transition without time. Enough time for her to get to you and you come for me."
He grabbed my face. "There has to be..."
I touched his chest sadly. "You can feel it. He lays a hand on Zoey and our humanity is gone. Ee are both lost, unable to return. If in his grasps... we don't know what he will do to her or Lilly, they could die. This is our only fighting chance."
His eyes closed and were green when they opened again. He and Alastair reached a disagreement. We could feel them warring with each other. He glared at me. "There is another way, we just need more time."
I let my hand fall, staring at his chest. "If you can find one... you have until after the slaughter. That is the most opportune time to strike, when we are seperated from the pack and energy will be at its lowest."
He slumped into a chair. "Then..."
I took four shots. "Our people need to be at their best when you come. I won't pretend to suddenly choose him, however..."
Xavier grunted then took some of his own. "A display of compassion for the whatever hostage he gets his hands on. In truth, it could be any of us. The casters, our mates, hell any of our packmates. We will not let harm come to them on our behalf."
He looked between the two of us. "A little more than two weeks then. We try to come up with everything before then."
We nodded as we held up our glasses to him. "Yes."
Lucinda looked between the three of us. "I will do what I can. I know the lengths a sibling would go for another and you saved David because you understood."
