I stood in the cool shade at the Miyagi-Do Dojo, watching as Robby talked endlessly with Sam. Sam's a great girl and all, but throughout the years that me and Robby had been best friends, I have developed a massive crush on him. Grant it, I'm not going to tell him, I don't want to ruin our relationship or his and Sam's relationship. But I wish that he would have noticed how much that I liked him, before finding out how much Sam likes him.

The karate practice went by kind of quick and luckily Robby didn't seem to notice how I was acting a little bit jealous. As I went to pick up my water bottle that was sitting in the grass, I saw Robby out of the corner of my eye coming in my direction.

"Hey Y/n." Robby said with a smile on his face. "Hi Robby!" I responded with a smile plastered on my face as well. I couldn't help but smile when he smiled, something about the way he did it just warms my heart. "So I was wondering if you would like to hangout tonight." Robby told me causing me to nod my head and say "Of course where are we going?" I asked back trying to contain my excitement. "I can't tell you, it's going to be a surprise." Robby said with a smirk on his face. "Ooo ok, what time are you going to come get me?" I ask hoping that I didn't have to wait too long for him to come and get me. "How about 7:00?" Robby asked causing me to look down at my watch which read 5:00. "That's perfect," I said before grabbing my bag off the ground. "Ok well see you then!" Robby said. "See ya!" I responded and then turned to go make my way back to my house.

Time Skip

The second that I got back from practice I ran up to my room and scanned my closet for something that would make me look good tonight. I know that our hangout isn't a date but I still wanted to look my best for Robby. I pulled out a cute skirt and a shirt, then changed quickly looking in the mirror to see what I looked like. "Perfection." I said before doing my hair and
minimal makeup.

I looked at my phone to see what time it was and I was beyond thrilled when I found out that I only had like thirty minutes until Robby would be pulling up to my house in order to take me to whatever mystery spot that he wanted to take me to. I browsed my phone for a little bit until I heard the doorbell of my house ring.

I made a little squeling noise before I ran to the door as quickly as my feet would take me. I unlocked the door and then opened it to reveal Robby looking cuter than ever. "Hey Y/n, are you ready?" He asked while raising an eyebrow and smirking at me. "Yes I am." I replied happily and then I followed Robby out to the car that was parked on the street outside of my house.

"So are you going to tell me where we are going yet?" I asked wanting to know the mystery of tonight. "Nope still not going to tell you." Robby said with a smile on his lips. I playfully crossed my arms and fake smiled pretending to be upset. "You know you're cute when you're angry." Robby said causing me to pause and think for a second. Did Robby really just say that I was cute? I tried to ignore it so that I wouldn't get my hopes up about him liking me.

After joking around with Robby for about forty five minutes, the car started to come to a stop when we reached a secluded spot.

"Here we are." Robby said getting out of the car and walking to the trunk of the car. I got out of the car as well and stood in the middle of the lookout staring at all of the different lights that were gleaming in the distance. For some reason when I looked down at the city, I couldn't help but think about Robby and how much that I loved him.

Robby tapped me on the shoulder to get my attention before saying "Do you like the view?" as he looked out at the horizon. "Yeah I do, almost as much as--." I stopped talking in the middle of the sentence realizing that I almost just accidently told him that I liked him. Robby turned his head towards me and asked "Almost as much as what?" as his eyes were being lit up by the lights below. "Nevermind it's stupid." I said hoping that Robby would just drop it. "I doubt that it is, nothing that you say is stupid." Robby responded trying to urge me to finish the sentence that I had started.

I could feel my anxiety start to go up as I tried to work up the courage to tell him. "IwasgoingtosaythatIliketheviewalmostasmuchasIlikeyou." I blurted out really quickly and immediately after saying that my hand shot up to my mouth in shock. Robby looked at me before asking "You like me?" in a kind of high pitched voice. I nodded a bit before saying "But don't worry I don't expect you to like me back, especially since I know that you like Sam." Robby looked at me and raised an eyebrow before responding "I don't like Sam, I like you." in a sweet tone.

He placed a hand delicately on my face and said "You are everything that I could ever wish for." with a expression on his face that made me realize that that he was completely serious. I quickly leaned in to his lips and kissed him. I pulled away before he even got the chance to kiss back, due to the fact that I was nervous since I had never kissed anyone before. Robby gave a soft reassuring smile before leaning in to my lips. I didn't pull away this time, because I trusted that Robby would do anything in his power to make sure that I wouldn't be uncomfortable or embarrassed.

The two of us stood there with the moonlight shining in our hair, feeling as if we were the only two people in the world. I know that this is cliche, but this moment was absolutely and utterly magical. Eventually, the two of us pulled away with massive smiles and blushes on our face.

Before even waiting a minute after we kissed Robby asked me "Would you be my girl?" while rubbing the back of his head. "Yeah of course I would." I say wrapping Robby in a hug.

Maybe, tonight was supposed to be a date after all.
