Chapter 22: Happy birthday darling

One month later(15th Dec.)

Time flies so fast. It has been a month since our relationship has started and this one month elapsed very quickly. Not to mention he has grown more as a gentlemen for me and of course very possesive, as if i'm his personal property. But i really like this feeling..like belonging to him only. I don't want to imagin me of anyone else.

I was startled from my sweet sleep by the pathetic ringtone that sounds more of pathetic when it comes to morning.

Groaning i take the phone and see an unsaved nymber flashing.

I place the phone on my ear before answering it "hello"

"hey Grace" i hear a female voice.

"Hey, can you tell me who is this?"

It's not my fault, i am not a morning person.

"Sure, it's me Claire" she said giggling

I sat up lazily and said "hey claire, how've you been?"

"leave it all..just say what have you planned for today?"

Confused i furrowed my eyebrows and asked "regarding what?"

She scowled "come on Grace , as if you don't know"

"well, i really don't know Claire." I sighed.

"oh Grace it's my bro's birthday ,haven't you planned anything for him?"

Now it strikes to me. This is the reason why he did not let me go home this holiday. When i was about to leave for France for spending my 15 days holidays with my mum he came to me and made a puppy dog face and said 'i'd get you anything baby don't go please'

Hurridly i said "let me hang up and wish him first Claire"

"no no no , i think you should give him a surprise"

I shake my head and said "Claire i'm terrible at surprising . I don't know..."

She huffed and said "just meet me in an hour at Manhattan mall"

"why?"

"just do as i say okay,see you in an hour"

She hung up before hearing anything from me. Now what am i supposed to do?

Mall...

I stood outside the mall shoving my hands in the pocket of my overcoat when i see Claire approaching towards me in het black blazer and dark jeans.

"hey Grace" she said while hugging me.

"hey" i hug her back

We started walking inside the mall when i asked

"Don't you have any plans for today?"

She chukled and said "well, unlike you i do have plans today. But right now i am tad bit free. So i thought to help you out"

I smile and said "thank you Claire'

"please don't thank me. I love my bro and it's all for him"

We buster into laughter. It feels so good to see both of the siblings have so much concern for each other. They love each other so much and sometimes i envy of them!

'where are we going?"i asked

"here" she pointed towards the shop we were standing ahead.

"Claire..it's a lingerie shop"i said frustrated
