When the other kid was brought into the room, the cop who brought him in un-cuffed him and shoved him down in the chair across from the two detectives.

"Good luck with this one! He's not very cooperative," he informed them, giving the kid a glare before taking his leave. The kid just glared back at him before turning coal black eyes onto Jackson and Macy. He eyed her up and down with a lustful glint before turning his eyes on Jackson and giving him a look of complete defiance.

Jackson returned his gaze, unaffected, and folded his arms over his chest.

"Look, kid... Chad, right?" he began glancing at Macy who was busy applying lip gloss. "We aren't here to give you any hassle... or to interrogate...”

He was cut off by Chad's derisive laughter. "I didn't do a thing and I'm not sayin' a word til I get my lawyer. Not some fagot 2-bit attorney assigned to me by you idiots, but my own damned lawyer!"

Macy stopped her primping and looked up with wide eyes. Jackson just laughed and tilted his chair back. He already had the information he needed from talking to Daniel, but it was protocol to speak to all witnesses available.

"I understand your concern and that's your right." Jackson spoke in an even, unwavering voice. "All we're interested in is a description of the person who apprehended you boys. Nothing incriminating. If you would just be so kind as to tell me what you saw, or who you saw... you don't have to give me any other details..."

"I don't have to give you jack shit!" Chad snapped at him leaning forward. "You and your little whore can suck my..."

He didn't have a chance to go any further because Macy sprang from her seat and flew at him. She slapped him across the face so hard he tipped back and fell out of the chair.

"How dare you talk to my partner like that, you mongrel!" she shrieked at him. She stood over him, legs apart, fists clenched. The shocked boy stared up at her from the floor and touched his cheek.

"Wha- where... how'd she do that!" he yelled with his eyes darting from Macy to Jackson and back as he tried to scoot away from her. Macy slowly leaned down toward him and forced his eyes to stay locked to her own. All the while he continued to cringe, apparently afraid she would hit him again.

"You do not want to make me angry, young man," she growled at him. Her voice had lost its girlish lilt. "I will gut you like a worm if you ever speak to Detective Wolfe like that again. Do you copy?"

Jackson watched the entire thing with twinkling eyes. The funniest part was that her loss of composure had nothing to do with being referred to as a whore. It was the kid's disrespect toward Jackson that had brought out the tiger in her. He had been forced to knock a few people into next year because of derogatory remarks toward her, but she was always completely unaffected by insults. When it came to him, however, she took no shit. She regarded Jackson with complete adoration. As to why, he didn't really have a clue, but he thought it was cute when she attacked people in his honor. It scared the crap out of them and they always backed down from the tiny female.

"I think you meant 'gut you like a fish', Macy", Jackson cut in on the scuffle trying not to laugh at the previously fearless Chad's horrified expression. "Come on, sit down. The poor kid probably crapped himself. Let 'im up."

Macy stepped forward and grabbed Chad by his left ear, ignoring his pained howling, and pulled him to a standing position, where he towered over her. She continued pulling until she had dragged him to where his chair lay on its side.

"Pick it up!" she yipped at him, the high pitch returning to her voice.

"Ow. Ow. Okay! Okay!"

He bent slowly (obviously trying not to pull his ear any farther away from his skull) and picked up the chair. He set it back in its prior position at the table. Macy pulled him around, yanked him down into the chair, and let go. He held onto his abused lobe and looked up at her in pain and fear.
