Chapter Fifty-One
-Peachy Mama-

Robbo and Jake burst into the gym, as I let go of Taylor.
"I cannot believe you," Jake scolded me, shaking his finger at me. "I thought you had so much more common sense than to forgive that asshole before Tuesday."
"Oh my god, I knew it. I knew you two would crack sooner rather than later," Robbo gushed, slapping a confused Taylor on the back. "Congratulations and name your first kid after me, yeah?"
"Shut up the both of you," I snapped at the two of them.
"But seriously, you do realise what you've done, don't you?" Jake demanded with a scowl, continuing on like I'd said nothing. "And I won't be the only one disappointed. People believed in you, Lucy. Two more days was all I asked of you." He sounded like my mother; he also scowled like her too. Lord, give me strength.
"You two just couldn't keep it going. When she ate your ass out and handed it back to you on a platter last night, I knew it was so close," Robbo grinned proudly, and then laughed in delight.
"What are they talking about?" Taylor looked at me for clarification.
"He pushed you into a fountain, Lucy," Jake glared at me, menacingly. "Have you really thought this through?"
"Man, Kathy is going to be pissed when she hears about this," Robbo sighed, happily.
"Yes!" Jake exclaimed, looking down his nose at me. "Wait until your roommate hears about this!"
"Oh shut up," I finally yelled and they both stopped talking. "Either work out or fuck off," I glared at them, it being way too early to have had a fight with Taylor and then cop their shit too. Robbo simply beamed like a proud parent and Jake glared at me. "Go," I shooed them. "Git," I told them, pushing them both further into the gym.
"No, seriously," Taylor murmured, watching them finally walk away. Well, Robbo basically skipped and Jake stomped. "What was that?"
"I seriously meant don't ask, you haven't been the only pain in my ass the last week," I glared off in Jake and Robbo's direction. "Next time we break up, you get custody of them, including Kathy."
"No fair, I don't want them," he pouted and I laughed, humourlessly.
"Too bad," I sighed, moving towards the desk.
"So, can I do a workout today?" Taylor asked me after a moment, while leaning on the bench with a handsome, self-satisfied smirk as he watched me load up the computer.
"No," I shook my head, as I felt my face pull into a grimace without any conscious help from myself, while still watching the computer.
"What?!" Taylor demanded quickly, his brow dropping.
"I haven't forgiven you, Taylor. I'm willing to work on it, but this isn't done and dusted. You hurt me," I glanced over and frowned at him. "Really badly." He studied me seriously for a long moment and then nodded slowly.
"Fine, I'm going for a run and then I'm going to figure out what I'm going to do to fix this," He told me.
"I hope you come up with something," I replied, giving him an amused smile.
"I have missed putting that look on your face," He grinned at me, excitedly and it honestly made me blush.
"Get out of here, and find a way to make me like you again," I murmured, standing directly across the bench from him. Grinning, he snatched up my hand that had rested on the bench and brought it to his lips.
"How about Sugar Plum?" he asked, looking up at me through his lashes and I shook my head.
"That is a terrible pet name, Taylor," I laughed as I watched him move his lips gently across my knuckles. It wasn't fair what it did to me. He wasn't even doing anything and it completely turned me inside out.
"Agreed," He chuckled. "How's your phone?" He asked and I frowned.
"Bricked, I'm pretty sure." I grabbed it from beside the computer and showed him.
"Leave it with me, baby girl," He finally let go of my hand and I rolled my eyes.
"Baby girl?" I sighed. "I'm not your daughter," I laughed, shaking my head.
"Thank god, or this would be weird," he chuckled.
"What would be weird?" I looked at him wide eyed, and he grinned and it was so handsome.
"Let me kiss you right now and you'll find out."
"Very smooth," I rolled my eyes at him, not moving from where I was, safely on the other side of the bench from him. He was dangerous.
"I thought so; you also want a new coffee?" He asked, pocketing my phone.
"Maybe," I murmured softly while eyeing the bin, which made Taylor laugh.
"I'm on it, princess," He winked at me. Turning on his heel he walked out of the gym, waving to Robbo and Jake on his way out. If I had my phone, I would have messaged him to tell him Princess was a no-go too.

With all the excitement over, I had watched Taylor leave and Robbo and Jake were getting into their workout, not bothered by me. I took a deep breath and replayed the entire morning in my head. I had been shocked awake and hadn't stopped till right now, and that was when I realised I hadn't gotten to have a shower since yesterday morning. Feeling gross, I lifted my arm and sniffed tentatively. I smelt like chlorine. Obviously they kept the fountain maintained and clean, which meant I probably wouldn't get syphilis from not showering immediately after being pulled into it. So, that was nice. The first thing on my list was a shower and a fresh set of underwear.  I'd even give up my breakfast break to do it.

Taylor came back into the gym moments later, with a relaxed smile.
Honestly, I didn't know how to feel about him still. We had spoken a lot. We had both said a lot of things. But where did it leave us? I didn't trust the boy as far as I could throw him right now and that meant something serious to me. But, he had done a complete backflip on our relationship due to the thoughts in his head, not another girl in his life or not having feelings for me anymore. If he could find a way to communicate more openly with me, I was courageous enough to give him the opportunity to do it. I suppose that told me just how strongly I felt for him.

"Coffee for my Peachy Mama," He grinned, setting it down in front of me. Raising my brows, I simply stared at him, as his brown eyes shined in amusement.
"No to Princess, hell no to Peachy Mama," I glared, picking up the coffee.
"I know," Taylor frowned back at me, in agreement. "It just doesn't work, does it?"
"Too bad you screwed up buttercup, huh?" I asked, just before taking a sip of the coffee while watching him, and his frown changed to a disappointed one.
"I will fix it," He told me quietly, looking vulnerable but determined.
"You have my blessing to start trying," I replied, giving him a small smile.
"That's all I need, pork chop," He grinned, turning on his heel and walking towards the entrance.
"Fuck no to pork chop, Taylor," I called out as he got to the door, he threw back his head laughing while heading outside and I found myself grinning too.
He was just too damn much for me.

"Is this really something you want to be doing?" Jake asked me and I threw an exasperated look at him, which made him laugh. "Not because of the bet, but because of what he actually did to you," He assured me.
"Oh," I composed myself. "Yeah, he..." I trailed off. "We spoke about it all, and I think I kind of understand why he did it," I shrugged. "I'm not jumping back into it blindly, though," I assured Jake and he nodded.
"Just something you have to see where it goes?" He asked, knowingly.
"He hurts you again and I will start pounding him with balls," Robbo announced, approaching us while shaking his container.
"Really?" I asked dryly, trying not to laugh.
"Yeah," Robbo grinned, knowingly.
"As long as he wasn't a dick about it and somehow made you forgive him and then you guys get married next week, because that would mean you're ridiculous," Jake frowned at me.
"Guess who's not invited then," I replied, feigning insult, making him roll his eyes at me.
"Kathy will actually be annoyed when she hears you guys have had it out though," Robbo laughed. "She planned to record it, so everyone could see it."
"She's such a bitch," I snorted. "Is the group of creepy, creeper stalkers aware, the objects of their creepy stalking obsession have had it out?" I asked and Robbo glanced sideways at Jake, looking guilty.
"Maybe," Jake shrugged.
"Maybe, Jake?" My face dropped into disapproval.
"Maybe," Jake nodded, with a very good poker face. I glanced from one to the other, going for my best principal-dealing-with-troubled-students look.
"Jake did it," Robbo blurted out and then covered his mouth with his hand, looking shocked.
"Well, she is such a bitch for not waiting two days," Jake exclaimed in response, glaring at Robbo.
"Hey," I growled at Jake and he turned back to face me.
"Sorry, it slipped. I was annoyed, and Robbo won and he wouldn't shut up while I was trying to do hammer curls, and it just happened."
"Are you twelve?" I asked him, seriously and he shrugged.
"Probably."
"Why was it so important to win the bet?" I asked and they glanced at each other, looking uncomfortable.
"No reason," Jake gave me a small, not-convincing smile.
"Hey, look at the time," Robbo said, at the same time.
"Best be off then," Jake started walking towards the door.
"Thanks for letting me win," Robbo followed closely.
"Don't remind her about the bet," Jake hissed.
"Shit. Shit, I didn't say anything," Robbo called out to me with a departing wave. Who were these people, and why were they in my life?
