Chapter Thirty-Seven

As Always, A Pleasure

"I can't believe I let you both overpower me and take my romantic gesture and ruin it," Taylor pouted from his sandwich-less spot on the grass.

"It's Lucy's boobs, I suspect," Kathy murmured from where she lay on the grass, sunning herself like a cat. "Even sometimes I get distracted by them. She'll be talking and all I can think about is how many tissues I'd need to replicate the amount of boob she has."

"A lot would be my guess," Taylor smirked, which earned him a middle finger salute. "But she's right. Your boobs distracted me, I demand compensation." Taylor grinned at me and I couldn't hold back my eye rolling even if I tried.

"I'll compensate by not trying to break your fingers next time you try to cop a feel in public," I muttered at him and Kathy chuckled. Taylor's grin only widened.

"They distract me, I can't help it. I do all sorts of stupid things when they're around." He paused for a moment before anguish overtook his features. "I starve for them," He gasped out in pain. Rolling my eyes at his dramatics, I took the vegemite sandwich I had stashed in my own handbag and threw it at him. Kathy opened her eyes to look at what just landed in Taylors lap and laughed loudly. "What the fuck is this?" Taylor demanded and I smirked at him.

"Viva la vegemite," I shrugged as I watched a number of emotions pass over his features. Mainly pissy pissed off emotions, which were comical from where I was sitting.

"You stole my vegemite sandwich. Basically assaulted me to get to it," Taylor continued with the dramatics, pointing to where the avocado was probably leaving a nice bruise. "And you've been sitting on this son of a bitch for like-" He checked his watch. "Twenty minutes?"

"Your little sad victim pout was too cute to pass on," I teased, shrugging.

"You're cold hearted. Completely fucking evil," He glared at me as he popped open the sandwich bag and snatched up a half. He chewed on it with clear attitude and I glanced at Kathy who was as amused as I was. "Just so fucking rude," He muttered, taking another bite and shaking his head in disgust.

"For what it's worth, I wasn't aware of the offending sandwich," Kathy laughed.

"But had you of known of its existence, would you have told me before Lucy did?" Taylor asked.

"Nope," She shook her head, grinning from ear to ear.

"Well then, you're just as rude as she is," He sniffed primly.

"Oh, poor baby," I pouted, leaning forward to balance on my heads and knees. Taylor's eyes averted from my face down to my chest.

"I am a poor baby," He agreed with me, taking a bite of the sandwich, without having looked away from where my shirt was gaping.

"Everyone is just so mean and horrible, huh?" I asked, moving towards him in a slow crawl.

"It's true. I am a victim," Taylor nodded, still distracted.

"You deserve to be treated like a king for putting up with us all," I murmured, finally reaching him.

"Yeah, I do. That's very true," He whispered. Kathy had rolled over and was smirking at me in anticipation. She knew I was about to do something, just not sure what.

"I need to start looking after you better," I frowned as I continued moving until Taylor had to start lying back onto the grass. Taylor agreed with me again, as I came to hover over him. I dropped down to gently kiss him. He responded with his own kiss. I knew he probably knew this was some sort of game we were playing. He wasn't the slightest bit naïve, but he allowed me to do what I wanted anyway. His hand dropped the sandwich crust to the grass and ran up my back as we continued to gently taste each other. When I felt he was completely suckered in, I reached over to the rest of the sandwich somewhat blindly.
