chanyeol and i gathered up our friends and family and rounded them all into the backyard. we took our place behind the big boxes in the middle of the garden and chanyeol grabbed my hand.

"first, we just want to say thank you to everyone for coming on this very special day," chanyeol said.

"yes," i agreed. "as you know, our little ones are due in two months and we've decided it's time to find out their genders."

"our parents put these two boxes together, they have the colours of the gender relating to the side of (y/n)'s stomach the babies are in."

"so in front of me is left baby and in front of chanyeol is right baby."

"oh, enough talking, just open them already!" my mom yelled, making everyone chuckle.

"okay, on three!"

chanyeol and i grabbed the ribbon on the boxes in front of us and after counting to three, we pulled on them together. when pink balloons flowed out of both of them, i cheered and wrapped my arms around chanyeol.

"we're having girls!" i said.

"beautiful baby girls," he agreed. i kissed him then pulled away to hug our families.

"congratulations," chanyeol's mother said, rubbing my belly.

"thank you," i said.

"are you happy about having girls?"

"very. i want to have girls and i think chanyeol does, too."

"i'm sure he does. he's always talked about having, quote, 'little princesses' to spoil."

i grinned and looked over at chanyeol who was excitedly talking to the rest of exo about the news.

"you should go and talk to him," his mother said. i nodded and walked over to chanyeol, immediately being pulled into his arms.

"and they're gonna be so pretty because my amazing wife here is the prettiest girl in the world," he said, grinning at me. "and i'm the prettiest guy, of course."

i rolled my eyes but nodded in agreement, sliding my arm around his waist. i put my hand on my stomach and smiled when i felt the left baby move around.

"leftie is moving," i told chanyeol. he grinned and put his hand on my belly as well.

"leftie is a real active one, righty is more of a sleeper," he said.

"not hard to tell who takes after who, mr. energetic," i teased. he grinned and pecked my lips.

"have you guys thought of names yet?" baekhyun asked.

"we have a couple of options. i like bom and hyejung, i think they could be cute," i said.

"i've already told you i like those, too. of course little leftie would be bom," chanyeol said.

"i agree."

"i like those names," jongin said. i smiled and he smiled back, poking my belly. i looked back up at chanyeol and poked his cheek.

"i'm hungry get me food," i said. he laughed but nodded, kissing my cheek before walking over to the food table. i grinned at the boys who chuckled.

"you're using his love for you for food," kyungsoo said. "respect."

we high-fived then sat down on the chairs beside each other.

"are you nervous about having the babies?" he asked.

"i'm nervous about the giving birth part but not about having them when they're here. i think i'm ready," i replied.

"do you think chanyeol's ready to be a dad?" he asked. i looked over at chanyeol and smiled when i saw him playing around with my niece. he tossed her up in the air and when he caught her, he pressed kisses all over her face. watching them playing around together, i knew exactly how ready he was.

"i think he's more ready than i am," i said.

also guys i'm so excited because i get to meet the absolute love of my life this summer! i'm going to california on vacation and we agreed to meet up while i'm there! his name is will jay (if you don't know who he is you should search him up because he's super cute and talented) and i've loved him for 4 years now so i'm so happy it's crazy! wish me luck for when the time comes 😂
