Chapter 23: White Demon

Sa loob ng isang conference room may isang matandang babae ang abala sa pagbabasa ng mga papeles. Nagbukas ang pintuan, nagsipasok ang mga dalaga at binata kasama ang iilang matatandang lalake at babae.

Pag upo nila tumayo yung matandang babae, "Good morning brothers and sisters. I want good news, please do not give me bad news today" sabi niya saka naupo. "Elder Maribel" bigkas ng isang dalaga. "Alice, I said good news" sabi ni Maribel.

"Elder Maribel I am so sorry but Sheryl and Jojo are gone" sabi ng dalaga sa nanginginig na bosees. "What do you mean gone? Hindi ba sila yung naatasan na bumuntot kay Charlotte?" tanong ng matanda.

"Elder Maribel yung last communication nila was yesterday, ang sabi nila hindi daw suot ni Charlotte kwintas niya kaya binigay ng ibang elders yung go signal" sabi ni Alice. "Of course, then what happened?" tanong ni Maribel.

"We have not heard from them, we tried to track them using their golden plates but no response. We could not even locate them" sabi ni Alice. "Did you try summoning them?" tanong ni Maribel.

"The other elders already did but still nothing" sabi ni Alice. "Patay na sila, hmmm di ko akalain na ganon kalakas si Charlotte. Jojo and Sheryl, they were one of the strongest" sabi ni Maribel.

"Then it must be true that Charlotte really owns the white demon" sabi ng isang matandang lalake. "Kung namatay lang sila then summoning would take us to their dead bodies. Then the rumors are true then" sabi ni Maribel.

"Perhaps it is time that the elders go after her" sabi ng isang matandang babae. "Nung una hindi ako naniniwala that she could summon an entity. Pero ngayon mukhang totoo nga kaya lang what did she sacrifice in order to get the white demon? Ten lives, sino sino ang mga inalay niya?" tanong ni Maribel.

"Lahat naman ng clan may mga sikreto" sagot ng matandang lalake. "Charlotte is not that powerful yet kaya lang she already has the white demon. Ang problema dito ay bumabagay ang summon entity sa may ari. Bata pa si Charlotte kaya tuwing lalakas siya ay lalakas din yung white demon"

"I cannot believe that clan would go that far" sabi ni Maribel. "Hahahaha we have been trying to do the same" sabi ng isang matandang babae. "Oo ang ibig ko sabihin ay hindi ko akalain na yung clan na yon e aabot sa ganon. They are all for peace so why would they even...anyway we have to find her and get her"

"So with that said Geron will be so kind to go after her?" tanong ni Maribel. "Of course, alam mo matagal na akong walang aksyon. Ang tanong ko lang ay how far will you let me go?" tanong ni Geron, isang matandang lalake na maputi na ang buhok pero gupit military.

"Saktan mo kung kailan kaya lang I want her alive" sabi ni Maribel. "Give me one week" sabi ni Geron. "No, alerto pa yung bata sa ngayon. Give her time. You start next week pag kampante na siya ulit" sabi ni Maribel.

"Sayang ang oras" sabi ni Geron. "Alam ko kaya lang mag isip ka din. Alerto yan at baka nagsumbong yan kaya siguro may nagbabantay sa kanya. We cannot risk a fight. If a fight breaks out then that stupid council will come after us" sabi ni Maribel.

"Tandaan mo the prophecy said it was a boy" sabi ng isang matandang babae. "Alam ko! Everyone is looking that boy. Ang ginagawa natin maghanda para kalabanin yung lalake na yon. That is why we need Charlotte and other young ones who are powerful so that one day when that prophecy comes true may panlaban tayo sa kanya" sagot ni Maribel.

Samantala sa bahay nina Miggy, "Nandon siya sa park kasama mga pusa niya" sabi ni Anabelle. "Ate saan yon? Malayo ba?" tanong ni Charlotte. "Hindi malapit lang" sagot ng kasambahay kaya lang sabay sila napatingin sa gilid pagkat may pusa na magmeow.
