I was in forever 21 with my girlfriend longing for the moment we could finally leave the mall but y/n had insisted on looking through here before we leave and me being the amazing boyfriend I am, I let her.

I was completely zoned out, looking at absolutely nothing when y/n's voice caught my attention

"Oh my god! No way! Hi!" She said hugging some random guy who had just tapped her on the shoulder

"How are you?" He asked, still not aware that I was standing right here

"I've been amazing actually. Once I moved away from home I started a new life here" she said smiling at him

Normally I wouldn't get jealous but she had just hugged and started a conversation with some random as fuck dude and now she was smiling how she smiles when she's around me.

I cleared my throat reminding y/n I was still standing here

"Oh how did I forget" she said turning around to face me

"James this is Logan, Logan this is James" she said pointing to each of us

James stuck his hand out for me to shake "hi. Nice to meet you" He said

"Yhea. Nice to meet you too" I said and let go of his hand

"You must be y/n's... brother?" He asked. I could have punched him

"Um no. Boyfriend actually" I say trying my hardest to still sound like a nice person

"You got a boyfriend!? You lucky girl!" He said smiling again.

Fakest smile I've ever seen.

"Lo, Me and James were best friends in college before I dropped out. We used to do everything together. Damn I miss those times" she sighed but still had a smile on her face

"Uh, Hey y/n. Can I talk to you for a minute? Alone" I said turning on my heel and walking away expecting her to follow

"I'm so sorry. I'll be right back" I heard her say

Once James was out of earshot I turned to y/n and started talking

"What the fuck y/n. I was standing right there and your just flirting with some random guy who walks up to you claiming you went to college together!? Im your boyfriend. Not him. Not anyone else. Me" I said trying to stay calm and quite.

The look on her face was pure shock. Now I had the feeling I had just jumped to a conclusion that was very wrong and now regret everything I had said

"Logan, He was my best fucking friend. I haven't seen him since college and you expect me not to react like that!? Imagine if you and mark knew each other since college, you dropped out to move here to L.A to become an entertainer and then you see him after 6 years. How would you feel?" She said tears forming in her eyes

"Nothing to say huh? Oh and he's gay" she muttered, wiping her tears and walking away

I didn't see James anywhere so I guessed he had just left. I saw y/n walking out of the door which broke my heart.

My dumb ass just jumped to a conclusion and potentially just ruined my relationship
