Trixie's POV

It had been a little over two weeks since the Quidditch accident, during the weeks there has been several attack by the 'Heir of Slytherin', most people think it's me since I'm Voldemort's daughter, which they're not wrong about, I am an heir of Slytherin, however I've already been ruled out for the attacks as I have been under the presence of a teacher at the time of these attacks, I was currently making my way to the Duelling Arena as Lockhart and Snape have set up a Duelling Club to help 'protect' ourselves, I arrived and searched around for someone to stand with,

"Lestrange!" Parkinson yelled as she came over to me, "Come on. We've got a great view" She asserted before grabbing my arm and dragging me through the crowd, myself getting knocked every now and then causing me to wince, we got to the front and I pulled my arm from her grip

"Touch me again and you'll end up dead" I threatened, she lowered her head and muttered a sorry,

"Gather round, can everybody see me? Can you all hear me? Excellent. In the light of the dark events of recent weeks, Professor Dumbledore has granted me permission to start this Duelling Club to train you all up in case you ever need to defend yourselves, as I, myself, have done on countless occasions, for full details, see my published works" Lockhart explained.

"Pathetic self-promotion" I muttered before he threw his cloak in to the group of older Gryffindor girls who squealed as they jumped to catch it, I scoffed and rolled my eyes before my eyes came across Fred and George Weasley on the opposite side of me, Fred smiled at me which I returned,

"Let me introduce my assistant Professor Snape. He has sportingly agreed to help with a short demonstration" He commented as Snape stood at the opposite side of the Duelling stand to him,

"I would have done so, if I was able to put you on your ass or even better the Hospital Wing" I muttered,

"Perhaps next time" He chuckled.

"I don't want any of you youngsters to worry. You'll still have your Potions master when I'm through with him. Never fear" Lockhart asserted, I heard someone behind me scoff,

"Question is will we still have him when Snape's finished with him" They whispered, I smirked as they both met in the centre, bowed and walked to the opposite ends of the stage,

"One. Two. Three"

"Expelliarmus!" Snape jinxed, sending Lockhart into the air making majority of the crowd laugh as we leaned on the stage to see if he was still alive, sadly due to it being a simple disarming spell he was, he got up and approached the middle of the stage,

"An excellent idea to show them that, Professor Snape but if you don't mind me saying it was pretty obvious what you were about to do. If I had wanted to stop you, it would have been only too easy" Lockhart rambled, trying to redeem himself making me roll my eyes.

"Perhaps it would be prudent to first teach the students to block unfriendly spells, Professor" Snape commented, I hoped-no, prayed that would shut him up, unfortunately my prays weren't answered,

"Excellent suggestion, Professor Snape. Let's have a volunteer pair. Lestrange, Potter, how about you?" Lockhart picked out, I went to move to get on the stage but stopped as Snape piped up,

"I'm afraid that Miss Lestrange is excused from such demonstrations due to her Quidditch accident two weeks ago" Snape replied, as Harry made his way on the stage, I frowned

You break a couple of ribs and you're banned from all your favourite subjects,

"Might I suggest someone else from my own house, Malfoy, perhaps?" Snape asked, Lockhart nodded and Malfoy climbed on stage.

Myself, Parkinson, Draco, Crabbe and Goyle, entered the Slytherin Common room,

"You're a Parselmouth? Why didn't you tell us?" Parkinson asked making me turn to face them,

"I'm a what?" I asked,

"You can talk to snakes" Draco answered, I nodded

"I know. I accidentally set a Python on a classmate when I was younger, once. But so what? I bet loads of people can do it" I retorted, they shook their heads,

"No, they can't, it's not a very common gift, Lestrange" Parkinson informed, I rolled my eyes

"Why are you making a big deal of me speaking it? My Father can speak it, so it obviously passed down on to me. Plus, I'm not the only one who spoke it just then, Harry spoke it as well telling the snake to follow my orders" I snapped,

"The whole school's gonna think you're Salazar Slytherin's great-great-great granddaughter" Crabbe commented,

"Maybe it'll make them all more aware of not to mess with me. And I am a descendant of Salazar Slytherin" I sighed before storming off to my room.
