The boy awakes from a deep slumber

and he doesn't understand what he just dreamt.

Was that real? Would it really come true?

He sort of hopes that it will

because its exactly what he wants.

The dream was of him having to choose

between his girlfriend and the girl he loves,

what do you think he chose?

It's not necessary for you to know

because its an obvious decision for anyone to make.

Now he's walking down the street

to meet his girlfriend so they can fuck

because that's all he really cares about now.

He knows that it's terrible, but he can't help it.

All he wants is his love back in his life

but he knows that it's impossible

because she just wants to be friends with him now.

He can't handle it, she just wants to be friends?

How could that work when he just wants to kiss her

every single time he sees her beautiful face.

He still agrees, for he cannot live without her

but what is he going to do?

How can he tell his girl that he loves someone else?

He can't, he just doesn't know how to say it.

So he keeps pretending, he keeps fucking her

out of pity because she loves him.

He always thinks he's a terrible person

after having sex with her.

And he almost just let it slip,

that he doesn't love her.

Now he's smoking on a pipe with weed in it

trying to forget all of his problems for a while.

And now he's skating with all his friends

focusing on nothing else but getting that one trick

because that's what really sets him free.

And whenever he falls, he doesn't care.

He welcomes the pain as an old friend,

he gets up and tries again like nothing ever happened.

And after he's all bruised and cut up,

he goes home and plays videogames all night

and smokes in between games because its more fun that way.

Then finally, late as shit, he lays in his bed

and as he stares up at the ceiling in the dark,

he thinks thoughts of death and sadness

until he falls asleep and slips into his dreams again.
