Chuuya glanced at the clock for what felt like the hundredth time, frustration gnawing at his insides as he realized Dazai's meeting was stretching on far longer than anticipated. Two hours had passed since Dazai had disappeared into his home office, leaving Chuuya to twiddle his thumbs and wait impatiently.

With a sigh, Chuuya pushed himself up from the couch, his irritation mounting with each passing minute. He knew Dazai's work was important, but waiting around for hours on end was testing his patience.

Deciding he couldn't take it any longer, Chuuya made his way to the door of Dazai's home office. He knocked lightly before pushing it open, revealing Dazai hunched over his laptop, engrossed in his work.

"Dazai," Chuuya began, his tone tinged with frustration, "this meeting has been going on forever. I'm fucking tired of waiting for you."

Dazai glanced up, sympathy flickering in his eyes. "I'm sorry, Chibi. I'll be done soon, I promise."

But Chuuya was in no mood to wait any longer. With a determined expression, he crossed the room and settled himself onto Dazai's lap, wrapping his arms around Dazai's neck and nuzzling his head against Dazai's neck.

Dazai blinked in surprise, his fingers pausing on the keyboard as he looked down at Chuuya in confusion. "What are you doing?"

"I'm tired of waiting," Chuuya replied stubbornly, his voice muffled against Dazai's neck. "I figure I'll just sleep here instead."

Dazai couldn't help but chuckle at Chuuya's antics, his irritation melting away in the face of Chuuya's stubborn determination. "Alright, alright," he conceded, wrapping his arms around Chuuya and pulling him closer. "You win."

And with that, Chuuya settled more comfortably into Dazai's embrace, feeling the tension drain from his body as he finally found a solution to his impatience. In Dazai's arms, he knew he could wait out the rest of the meeting with ease, content in the knowledge that he was exactly where he belonged.

As Chuuya settled into Dazai's lap, he couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over him. But his moment of peace was interrupted by the sound of voices coming from Dazai's laptop.

"Is everything okay over there, Dazai?" one of Dazai's coworkers asked, their concern evident in their voice.

Chuuya felt a flush of embarrassment creep up his neck as he realized they could see him sitting on Dazai's lap. Clearing his throat, he shifted slightly, trying to make himself more presentable.

"Yeah, everything's fine," Dazai replied smoothly, though Chuuya could detect a hint of amusement in his tone. "Chuuya just decided to join me for the meeting."

There was a pause on the other end of the call before another voice spoke up. "Is that Nakahara-san? He seems... cozy."

Chuuya felt his cheeks heat up even more at the comment, but before he could respond, Dazai jumped in. "Yes, that's him," Dazai said with a chuckle. "He likes to keep me company when I'm working."

Chuuya shot Dazai a glare, but Dazai just grinned back at him, clearly enjoying the opportunity to tease him.

The rest of the meeting passed in a blur for Chuuya, his cheeks still burning with embarrassment as he tried to ignore the curious glances from Dazai's coworkers. But despite the awkwardness of the situation, he couldn't deny the warmth and comfort he felt in Dazai's arms, making the wait a little more bearable.

As the meeting dragged on, Chuuya's eyelids grew heavier and heavier. Despite his efforts to stay awake, exhaustion eventually overtook him, and he slumped against Dazai's chest, his breathing steady and even as he succumbed to sleep.

With a tender smile, Dazai carefully lifted Chuuya into his arms, cradling him close as he continued with the meeting. He marveled at the peaceful expression on Chuuya's face, feeling a surge of warmth in his chest at the sight of his sleeping partner.

Throughout the remainder of the discussion, Dazai held Chuuya securely against him, occasionally pressing a gentle kiss to his forehead or brushing his fingers through his hair. He couldn't help but feel a sense of protectiveness and love for the redhead in his arms, grateful for the bond they shared.

When the meeting finally concluded, Dazai carried Chuuya to their bedroom, careful not to disturb his peaceful slumber. Gently laying him down on the bed, Dazai tucked the blankets around him, pressing another soft kiss to his forehead before settling down beside him.

As they drifted off to sleep together, Dazai couldn't help but feel grateful for moments like these, where he could hold Chuuya close and cherish the quiet intimacy between them.
