Chuuya had always been an early riser, while Dazai was notorious for staying up until the early hours of the morning. It wasn't unusual for Dazai to find Chuuya fast asleep by the time he returned home from his late-night antics.

One evening, after a particularly exhausting day, Dazai stumbled into their shared apartment, expecting to find Chuuya already in bed. To his surprise, the lights were still on, and Chuuya was nowhere to be seen. Concerned, Dazai searched the apartment until he found Chuuya sitting at the kitchen table, nursing a cup of tea.

"Why do you sleep so early?" Dazai asked, his voice laced with genuine curiosity.

Chuuya glanced up from his tea, raising an eyebrow at Dazai's disheveled appearance. "Because I have responsibilities, unlike someone I know," he retorted, a playful smirk tugging at his lips.

Dazai chuckled, sliding into the seat beside Chuuya. "I suppose I do have a habit of burning the midnight oil," he admitted. "But why are you still awake? You usually hit the hay before I even get home."

Chuuya shrugged, taking a sip of his tea. "Couldn't sleep," he confessed, his gaze drifting to the window where the city lights twinkled in the distance. "Too much on my mind, I guess."

Dazai reached out, gently squeezing Chuuya's hand. "Wanna talk about it?" he offered, his voice soft with concern.

Chuuya hesitated for a moment before sighing. "It's nothing, really. Just work stuff," he mumbled, avoiding Dazai's gaze.

Dazai knew better than to push Chuuya when he was like this. Instead, he leaned back in his chair, content to sit in comfortable silence with his partner. As they sat together, the tension slowly ebbed away, replaced by a sense of peace and belonging.

Eventually, Chuuya's eyelids began to droop, and Dazai couldn't help but smile at the sight of his sleepy partner. "Come on, Chibi," he said gently, standing up and extending a hand to Chuuya. "Let's get you to bed."

Chuuya allowed himself to be led to their bedroom, where Dazai tucked him in with practiced care. As Chuuya drifted off to sleep, Dazai pressed a soft kiss to his forehead, whispering, "Goodnight, my love."

And as the city outside faded into darkness, Dazai couldn't help but feel grateful for the simple moments they shared, even in the quiet of the night.
