Chuuya's eyes light up as he scrolls through his phone, pausing on an adorable puppy ad. "Hey, Osamu," he calls out, turning to Dazai who is engrossed in his own work. "Look at this little guy!"

Dazai glances over briefly, his expression uninterested. "A dog? We don't need one," he replies flatly, returning his attention to his laptop.

Chuuya's face falls, disappointed by Dazai's response. "But he's so cute! And I've always wanted a dog," he protests, trying to sway Dazai's opinion.

Dazai shakes his head, adamant in his decision. "Chuuya, I understand, but having a dog is a big responsibility. It requires a lot of time, effort, and attention," he explains, hoping to put an end to the discussion.

Chuuya sighs, knowing Dazai has a point. "I get it, but I promise to take care of it myself. You won't have to do anything," he assures, hoping to ease Dazai's concerns.

Dazai considers Chuuya's offer, but he's still hesitant. "It's not just about taking care of it, Chuuya. Dogs require attention and affection, and I'm not sure I can provide that," he admits, feeling guilty for potentially letting Chuuya down.

Chuuya reaches out, placing a hand on Dazai's arm. "Osamu, you don't have to do everything. We can take care of it together, and I'll make sure it gets all the love and attention it needs," he says earnestly, wanting to reassure Dazai that they can handle it as a team.

Dazai looks into Chuuya's determined gaze, feeling conflicted. He knows how much Chuuya wants this, but he's still unsure if it's the right decision. After a moment of silence, he finally sighs. "I'm sorry, Chuuya. I just don't think it's a good idea right now," he says regretfully, hoping Chuuya will understand.

Chuuya's face falls, disappointed by Dazai's decision. But he knows Dazai has his reasons, and he respects that. "Okay, Osamu. I understand," he says softly, trying to hide his disappointment.

Dazai gives Chuuya's hand a reassuring squeeze, feeling guilty for letting him down. "I'm sorry, Chuuya. Maybe someday," he says, hoping to offer some comfort.

Chuuya forces a smile, wanting to ease Dazai's guilt. "Yeah, maybe someday," he agrees, knowing that their relationship is more important than any pet.
