I'm five seconds away from selling my own sister off to be some random guys husband to get her out of my hair. Perhaps to another mafia man in helps to form an alliance.
That idea doesn't sound too bad now that I think about it... Why didn't I come up with that sooner? Life would have been so much easier.
Before I could come up with the details behind that newfound idea a loud ringing occurred from my desk.
"What?" I answer my phone, annoyed that my grandfather keeps calling as if I don't know how to run a business by now, I was almost tempted to let it go to voicemail but then my grandmother would fly down here and attempt to kill me which I really don't need right now.
"Drop that attitude with me, boy, you should know better by now."
"I'm not a child." I exhale, rubbing my temples in the process, his voice is giving me a headache.
"You're right. However, you tend to act like a child therefore I will treat you like a child." His tone is as cold and detached as ever.
"Is there a reason you called?"
"Yes... Right. Well your Nonna and I had plans to finally move back home, all this traveling that we have done over the last decade or so give or take has been wonderful but we are getting older and just want to be with family now, the original plan was to wait until closer for Christmas and then we can be there for the holidays but your grandmother claims that she has a bad feeling. The last time she felt like this your parents were in that accident so I have learned to trust her instincts... We will be getting back into town in a few days." [Italian Translation: Grandma]
