"Luci!" My sister, Lexi, shouts happily as she skips into my bedroom with the brightest smile that has long taken over her face. I don't think she ever stops smiling, I like to smile too but she just doesn't stop and I am wondering how her face isn't constantly sore.
"What?" I questioned, only briefly looking up from my packet of papers.
"I tricked papa into bringing me, Ally, and Danny to go out for ice cream. Mama said we can bring her bigger car if you wanted to come with."
"Shoot Lexi, I would love to but I have so much homework and since I have already started it then I need to finish it or else the stupid thing will never be completed." I groan.
The trio, my favorite name for them so I don't have to list out their names every time I refer to the twins and our cousin, are incredibly fun to hang out with. They always seem to know how to make everyone laugh, but I was serious when I said if I didn't complete this assignment it just won't get done.
"That's okay." Alexandra stated in a understanding tone, "I'll bring some back for you to eat after your homework... Gio and Ant just left to go out of town with Nonno to continue mafia training or something... Is everyone else gone too?"
"Yes. Rome is also out with a friend or something I think and Matt is at the school trip thing he had to the zoo."
"Hmm okay... So you will be here alone when we go?"
"I mean, the family won't be here but it's not like you could even be alone here. From all of the guards inside and outside, to the maids and kitchen staff . Plus I'll probably be stuck doing this the entire time."
". . . M'k. We'll be back soon, Luci... cookies and creme ice cream, right?"
"Yes, please with a lil choco drizzel."
"You got it."

There are so many things I would fix if I could go back in time.
Starting with going to get that damn ice cream instead of doing that homework that I guarantee I never finished anyway, I was almost done and then I got a call from my Nonna that I wished I never had to get, and I never finished that stupid packet.
