"The thing about letting go... You have to be prepared for them to not come back..." ~ Unknown

Letting go.

You can interpret those two words in many different ways.

Perhaps you are letting go of a previous significant other that have wronged you at some point in time, or you decided it was finally time let go of that one family member that really reminds you how factual the quote 'the blood of the covenant is thicker of the water of the womb' actually is.

Letting go could also mean you're moving on.

Moving on from those that tried to break you, letting go of the trauma that once held you hostage, letting go of the demons that plagued your mind, letting go of the cage that encased your heart.

Perhaps... It's letting go of life.

Choosing to let go as your breath turns shallow and your vision starts to swiftly fade to black.

Letting go of those that led you to that very moment and feeling nothing but peace in it's wake.

Letting go after being stuck in the same never ending cycle forever, with you head just barely above water, there is a certain peace that comes with letting go, no matter the context.

Letting go...

"Hello Alexus." Zio Amado suddenly said as he slammed my door open with Jasper following closely behind him, both of them smirking at me darkly with lust-filled eyes.

I just want to let go... Or everything....

Forever.

"Hey Lexi." Lucius says, a bowl of popcorn in his hands along with two bottles of Dr. Pepper.

I was just in the middle of some form of existential crisis, typical Sunday festivities, when a knock at my door nearly make my jump out of my skin and for some reason my brother was standing on the other side.

"Uh.... Hey?" I say but it managed to come out like a question, my confusion as to why he's outside my bedroom door is pretty evident, not that you can really blame me, last time we really spoke was when he needed help with his homework.

That is partially my fault though, he's not often around in any of the common areas when I am so he's either out or in his art studio but the few times that we happen to cross paths he would say 'hey' and I would just keep going as if I didn't hear anything.
