Chapter 23 always seek attention

I sit down on the sofa, while Jessy sit down on my laps, Jake and Jace sit down beside me. I Know they are all taking my leaving seriously.... we all spent some amazing time together, even Jace who doesn't like to play join us in playing today. We are still playing when one of the maid came to call us that dinner is ready.

We went to the dining table. We sit down and eat our meals. My grandparents are also here, I know they don't like the idea of me living, they just got NO choice. When we are done eating, on our way upstairs, Mom I want to sleep with you, Jessica said. We also want to sleep with you Mom, Jake also said.

Ok sure, you guys should go take a shower in your room first, when you are done you can come to my room. Ok, Mom they all chorus. Except you Jessy, I said. She run away while saying Mom am now a big girl you should stop worrying yourself. I smile, at how childish she's and still said she's a big girl.

I went into my room and take a shower, by the time I come out of the shower, my kids are already on bed. I lay down in the middle while they lay down beside me....

For the very first time, they all want me to tell them a story, and not those kids story, but they want me to tell them a story about when I was young. When am little, my parents always show me love but not because they love me, but because I have a rare beauty.

I never wanted any attention but they always give me, because of that, my sister hate me, she dislike me so much that she did not want to see me. When I was ten, my parents started organizing party, it not to celebrate anything but to show them how beautiful their daughter is.

They always expect so much from me, they buy me so many clothes, not because I like them, but to show off. My life was miserable at a young age, I couldn't say known to them....

When am in school, they expect me to always top the other students. There was a day, it remains two weeks to my examination, I fell ill, I couldn't study really. Don't your parents know you are ill, Jessy ask.

I smile, they are too busy to even notice it, my sister who notice it, doesn't really care, she said I deserve it for getting all of the attention she want. I couldn't study well for my exam. Why don't you tell them you are ill, Jake ask.

I also try telling them, but they didn't even allow me to say anything. It either my mom said I should not disturb her, she has been busy since morning with shopping and she just come back, i should go to sleep. I wait for my Dad to come back from work that day. When he came back, I said, Dad I want to tell you that am not... But he did not allow me to finish my words, he push me away and said can't you see am just coming back from work, have been working so that's the family may eat, but all you seek for is attention.

He said and also walk in. I wonder if am the one who seek attention or they are the one, who seek it. I feel devastated. My sister saw everything, when she see that there is know one around anymore, she came out and said, did you see how it feel, that what am also going true, but you are the one who always get the attention...
