You were once again surrounded by the same atmosphere.
The kitchen full of booze, living room filled with people who were at least tipsy if not drunk.
You were standing with one of the girls you met in one of your classes when Jungkook passed by you.
"Going home, don't be too loud when you get in later." he said hurriedly, before he was once again pulled away by the girl that was clutching his hand tightly.
"Could say the same for you!!!" you shouted, you're voice probably ending up being drowned out by the chatter and bass coming from the speakers.
"I thought the two of you are a thing..." your friend spoke, catching your attention again.
"Oh? No, no...just roommates." you said, but she didn't seem quite convinced.
You were chatting for a while with her until someone rudely interrupted by wrapping their arms around your waist and twisting you around.
You were ready to slap the guy until you were met with the familiar eyes creased from smiling.
"Hyunjin! Hi!" you greeted the boy in front of you with a hug since his arms were already around your waist.
"I was hoping I'd find you here. I came to ask if Jeon will be stealing you away from me again?" he was really close already, lips almost touching.
"Not tonight." you gently pecked his bottom lip, making him smile shyly.
How endearing.
"Hyunjin?" his ears perked up at your call.
"Wanna go upstairs?" you proposed and before he could even answer you were looking for Hoseok so he could give you the key to the guest room.
It was a habit you had when Jungkook wasn't in shape to drive home. You'd crash here, sober up with Hobi and Yoongi while having breakfast and kicking strangers out of their house.
While walking up the stairs, with each step, something was weighting down on your shoulders more and more.
You unlocked the door and lead Hyunjin inside and he sat on the edge of the bed while you once again locked the door behind you.
Turning around the view in front of you dropped even more weight on your shoulders.
This wasn't Jungkook on the bed waiting for you. If it was his belt would already be unbuckled, shirt unbuttoned, or he'd be passed out drunk.
It was Hyunjin, a guy who's eyes genuinely seemed to flare up when he saw you at a party or even when he'd wave at you when you pass by him on campus.
With every unsure step you took forward you felt more and more on edge. Something was bugging you at the back of your head, like an itch you can't scratch away.
"Didn't expect this at all." his hands gently ran up the back of your thighs as you stood between his legs.
He stood up and turned your back to the bed, before laying you down, crawling on top of you slowly.
Every careful touch on your body felt out of place, even more so when his lips met yours.
You weren't used to this, weren't used to someone treating you with such care, looking at you with so much adoration.
Before any clothes were even removed Hyunjin took a second to move your hair out of your face and deeply kiss you.
"You know...I really like you. Wanted to ask you out, but this works too." he smiled again, looking as angelic as ever.
And the weight on your shoulders was finally suffocating you.
"I can't do this." you sat up, Hyunjin rolling off of you to the side.
It was guilt. The suffocating weight on your shoulders was guilt.
It wasn't fair that you felt guilty about fucking with other people, when Jungkook was doing it so shamelessly.
"It's okay...it's fine." he said, but you could notice the way his own shoulders seemed to drop slightly, posture no longer showing any kind of excitement.
"I'm sorry I just..." you panicked internally, not knowing how to reason the things you were feeling.
"I like someone else."
"Well I guess I can only wish you all the best then." he fixed his hair a bit before going to the door to unlock it, in a sudden hurry to leave the tense air that settled in the room.
"Hyunjin!" you called out, almost jumping off of the bed.
He turned around with a raised eyebrow.
"I'm sorry."
The smile he gave you no longer seemed as genuine as the ones he gave you before
And you were left alone in the room, thinking if you should leave or not.
Staying would mean you'll be kicking people out of the house in the morning with no proper sleeping because of the party that won't be ending any time soon.
But going home meant, risking catching or hearing Jungkook fuck someone.
You settled for the latter.
It's been a few hours, she was probably already gone.
You locked the room behind you, passed Hoseok the keys at the front door and leaving without a word.
The night was colder than you expected, but a twenty minute walk to your apartment won't hurt you.
Might even sober you up a bit.
You prepared yourself as you walked up the stairs to your apartment, trying to hear any trace of moans coming from your apartment.
Reaching your floor, slightly out of breath, you caught sight of a girl pressing on the elevator button angrily.
"It...it doesn't work." your voice, no matter how quiet startled her, but none the less she thanked you and began her walk down the stairs, her heels in one hand, purse in the other.
Sighing in relief you walked into your apartment, the smell of alcohol and sex still lingering in the air.
In the living room you saw Jungkook sprawled on the couch, his eyes cowered with his arm, and a small satisfied smirk still present on his lips even when he's asleep.
You saw your favorite blanket was thrown over his bare body and you rushed to snatch it off of him, making him gasp in surprise and cover his private bits.
"What the fuck Y/N?!" he sat up, scared shitless.
"You can do whatever you want, but don't use my blanket to cover your nasty ass." you said, clutching onto the fabric before storming off to your room.
You hated the fact that unlike your whole apartment, the blanket smelled distinctly of his cologne, leaving you lightheaded whenever you passed by the chair you put it on.
You draped the blanket out the open window, leaving it to air out, because fuck Jeon Jungkook and his cologne.
The following morning when you woke up he was making breakfast, since that's what you usually did on Sundays.
He would cook, and you would be looking for what shows you were supposed to continue watching, before you'd lock yourself up in your rooms to study.
Just today, you didn't want to go and eat breakfast in the living room, which forced Jungkook to bring the plates back to the kitchen where you silently ate.
You could feel the glances he was giving you every now and then, but ignoring them, you tried to finish up as fast as you could.
"You'll choke, slow down." he said quietly, to which you only started digging in more.
You grabbed your plate off of the table, while Jungkook was only half done with his food and turned to the sink to wash it.
"Is this about the blanket?" he asked, making you turn around to reply sarcastically.
"Yes Jeon, it's about the blanket."
"Okay then...what is the reason you're giving me the cold shoulder?" he kept pushing.
"Just, let me cool down."
"That's what you've been telling me the past two months and every other week it's the same shit again!" that familiar pout was back on his lips when he argued back and you hated the fact that the sight of it made your eyes sting a little bit.
"Well then just fucking keep doing it because I don't see another way to solve this!" you finally started crying and it set alarms off in your head.
You shouldn't be crying, not now, not in front of him, but your heart didn't seem to care because it was fucking shattering now.
You dropped on the chair you've been previously sitting in.
Glancing through the kitchen door you caught sight of the couch, and bits and pieces of your living room.
You wondered how many girls were in there and cried even more, ugly sobs leaving you at the thought of that number being so insignificant compared to the amount of girls he had been with.
"What the fuck is wrong Y/N?" you only noticed him kneeling in front of you when his thumbs were brushing away the tears from your cheeks.
You sniffed a few times, drying some of the tears on your own, but not flinching away from his touch either.
"I need to move out of here." you spoke quietly, as if convincing yourself.
Jungkook just leaned a bit back, sitting down on his bent knees.
Much like him you were surprised by your own statement, it never even crossed your mind till now, but looking at the whole apartment, you couldn't help but feel sick.
Yes. You needed to move out.
I feel like there is too much of V, Jimin and Jungkook in this collection, and not enough of the hyung line, I really need to even that out somehow, I feel like I'm betraying them as a group lol. Also a third chapter will be coming too apparently, cause I just love fucking up my life with clifhangers instead of making it one big chapter.
