Elsa and Jack made their way through the gardens hand in hand smiling and as they got to the door of the ballroom, they opened the door and people popped out.
Everyone "Surprise!!!"
Elsa looked to the ground and Jack turned his head sideways to look at Elsa considering he didn't understand what was going on. Anna comes running up to Elsa hugging her tightly and then stepping back.
Anna" Happy birthday!" She exclaimed while Kristoff put an arm around her waist.
Elsa" Anna.... I thought I told you no parties?"
Anna" look I know you're not one for celebrating your birthday but, decided that you needed a break and that you needed friends and family around you"
Elsa" I don't have any family besides you Anna! And as for friends I don't have any! "she lashes out walking out the double doors and into the hall followed to her room.
Anna" Sorry ...I just wanted to do something nice for her "
Kristoff "just give her time to cool off I'm sure she'll be back, and she'll talk to you about it "
Anna" I know I just wanted her to celebrate for a change "
Jack" I had no idea it was her birthday she never said anything "he raises his shoulders.
Anna" Yeah she doesn't say much but ... she doesn't like celebrating because our parents didn't like it when she was around me and how they were frightened she'd hurt someone with her powers, so she just stayed in her room "
Jack" she wouldn't hurt anyone; I know she won't "
Anna" I know but she still is scared she thinks she's this monster for hurting everyone, but she won't that was an accident .... anyways I've brought some people you might know "she gestures over to the guardians smiling.
North waves over to Jack and he goes over to them. They all turn to look at Jack.
North "hey Jack you look happy "
Jack" hey.... what are you guys doing here? I thought you were busy at the North pole?"
North" well Anna invited us, and we thought we'd come see how you're doing but we can see your doing well "he smirks.
Jack" I have no idea what you're talking about "he smiles leaning on his staff.
Bunny" oh come on mate its written all over your face .... plus, it's the reason why we left you here "
Jack" You could have told me that she had ice powers "
Bunny "Because it was better if you found out for yourself"
Jack" Thank you ....and I'm sorry for the way I was acting around you guys I was just being silly "
North" Jack everyone gets lonely it's not a thing to be ashamed off were just happy to see you happy "
Jack" I am happy but I'm not happy that she ran off .... actually, I'll be right back because I need to ask you guys something but I'm just going to check on her "
Tooth" aww! So cute you two make a cute couple "
Jack turns red while he walks away going through the double doors to check up on Elsa. He walks through the halls as he gets closer to Elsa's bedroom door knocking on it.
Elsa" come in ..."
Jack opens the door walking in to see Elsa sat on her bed looking down at the floor while her hands were entwined together her thumbs tracing over each other. Jack takes a seat beside Elsa and the silence of them build up tension.
Elsa" I'm sorry I ran off ...."
Jack" It's okay it's a lot to take in "
Elsa" and ...I'm also sorry for not telling you it's my birthday .... I just hate it "
Jack" If you don't mind me asking ...why? Do you hate your birthday "?
Elsa" I spent a lot of my birthdays alone and in my room, it always haunted by the fear of not wanting to hurt anyone "
Jack" but your wiser and older and you know that you won't hurt anyone I've told you that "there silence until Jack realises.
Jack" There's more isn't there?"
Elsa" On my eighth birthday I was reading books on how the guardians of Christmas, Easter, Teeth, dreams and Fun would bring back the light in the world and they would fight an evil darkness who hid underneath the beds of children and I always hoped that....they would come ....save me " she looks up at Jack she could tell he was shocked.
Jack" oh Elsa.... I'm so sorry we weren't there for you "
Elsa" No matter how hard he tried to convince me I was a monster I always managed to push the thought away but now .... he's always there "
Jack" I promise now that I'm here I'll protect you from him and he won't hurt you ever "he takes her hand in his.
Elsa rests her head on his shoulder feeling better with his presence in the room.
Jack" you never said what happened on your birthday "
Elsa" it's better left unsaid "she says thinking of the flashback.
Flashback
Elsa sat on her knees by the fire reading the books of the guardians who loved saving the children of the world from a nasty darkness that hid underneath your bed waiting to feed your dreams into nightmares waiting for the right moment to knock you down so that's there's no good left. Young Elsa read that the guardians saved everyone from this evil and Elsa prayed someday that they would save her. A sudden gust of wind opened the window and the lights flicked the lights on and off and figure formed out of the darkness making Elsa flinch back from the fear.
Pitch "You think the guardians are going to save you?" He chuckled.
Elsa" well they saved everyone else "
Pitch" they don't know you exist and why would they help you your nothing but a cold monster who will break everything they touch!"
Elsa" leave me alone! What have I ever done to you?"
Pitch "You were born! And I'll make sure you never see the day after you 25th birthday!"
A puff of black smoke made the figure of pitch fade away leaving young Elsa in the darkness shaking.
End of flashback....
Elsa shook like crazy making Jack hold on to her tight but there was something else on his mind. He lifted her chin kissing her lips while she kissed back as his hand snakes its way around her waist, pulling back from the kiss Elsa stands up going red as she goes to go out the doorway turning around.
Elsa" I should go back to the ballroom "she walks out heading down the hallway and through the double doors where all her troubles began.
Elsa saw Anna across the room and took the advantage to talk to her.
Elsa" Anna? "
Anna "Yeah?"
Elsa "Can I talk to you for a moment?"
Anna" Of course "
Walking through the door to the gardens the two sits down on the bench.
Elsa" Anna I'm so sorry about lashing out at you I didn't mean to its just I hate my birthday and I know you went through all this trouble to plan this party"She said feeling guilty.
Anna" els its fine know you hate your birthday it's just I know how sad you get, and I wanted you enjoy it for once "
Elsa" I know and that's why you're the best sister "
Anna" oh Elsa "they both hug one another.
Anna" so I hope you don't mind me asking but how are you and Jack doing?"
Elsa" were good .... just "
Anna" just? What?"
Elsa" I just feel like I'm going to ruin it"
Anna" Elsa you're not going to ruin anything he loves you and you love him "
Elsa gives her sister a look not knowing how to respond to her comment, she knew that she loved him, but she hadn't officially said it to Jack without saying it by an accident.
Anna" Oh ...have you not told him?"
Elsa" Anna I said it by an accident but of course I love him, I've never felt like this about anyone maybe it's because I haven't had anyone before, but I do I really do "
Anna" Well you two are sure kissing a lot lately and he really cares for you and is always helping you out with everything it's no wonder you feel the way you do plus isn't it a good thing that he knows? I mean at least you've got it out in the open"
Elsa" I suppose your right I just... I'm nervous okay I don't want anything bad to happen "
Anna" well you're only going to find out and see how it goes "
Elsa" let's go back to the party because everyone is waiting for me to talk to them "
Elsa walks back inside seeing that Jack had come back into the room and was glancing her way which she looked down to the floor and back up when North came up to her.
North" So you told him"
Elsa" As much as I wanted to keep it on a downlow he was going to find out somehow"
North "Don't you feel better now that he knows? "
Elsa" Well yeah I suppose I do "
North" well he looks incredibly happy and I'm glad to see you two are getting closer"
Elsa" oh you know about that ...."
North "yeah we practically teased it out of him well mostly bunny he was the one who wanted you guys to meet "He chuckles.
Elsa" well thanks I'm glad you all brought him here"
North" I can't help but notice how you two keep looking at each other "
Elsa"I don't know what you mean?"
North "You love him, don't you?"
Elsa" Well um ...I ..."She gulps feeling nervous all of a sudden.
Elsa says her goodbye quickly when she runs over grabbing Jacks' hand and grabbing him out the room and into the hall.
Jack" whoa ...."
Elsa" okay what did you say to North? "
Jack" What do you mean? I just told him that I knew about your powers and we were spending time together"
Elsa" North told me that Bunny teased the fact where together"
Jack" Well they were asking what's so bad about confirming it?"
Elsa" I'm not saying that it's a bad thing I just didn't realise you were going to tell them yet" she looks to the floor and down to her feet shuffling them a little in uncomforted.
Jack "Elsa what's this about?" he says pulling her gently towards him as she looks up at him.
Elsa" Nothing I just...nothing it's about nothing..." she goes to walk off until an arm pulls her back.
Jack" Come on stop pushing me away"
Elsa" I'm sorry...I just I've never done this before...I've never cared about anyone like this I don't know what I'm supposed to do"
Jack" Els, I haven't done this either, I know it different being with someone and trying to open up to them, but you need to trust me and let me in I love you"
Elsa is silent knowing he's right about the whole opening up situation. Maybe he was right maybe it was time to stop pushing him away and tell him the truth.
Elsa" I love you..." she says fidgeting with her fingers a little as the nerves kicked in.
Jack smiles seeing she was nervous and quite right too, he knew it was her first time saying she loved him without accidently saying it and he loved her too so much he never wanted anything bad to happen, he knew why she was scared to open up he was too after all they both had been alone at some point not wanting to hurt anyone however, even he knew that it was time to stop keeping secrets. Jack takes Elsa's hand in his rubbing the back of her hand with his thumb making sure she knew he was there. He smiles at her and she blushes back.
Jack" If it help's I love you too"
Elsa blushes deep red not knowing what to say
Elsa" I....um...mmm"
Jack chuckles a little seeing Elsa blush like mad. Jack pulls Elsa close and into his arms for a cuddle and Elsa rests her head on his chest listening to the beating of his fast heart.
Elsa" Sorry...I've never said I love you to anyone but my sister before ..."
Jack" And I understand that...I've never told anyone I love them either but it's true I love you a lot and I know you love me too and that's all I could ever ask for"
North" Sorry to interrupt but I was wondering if you guys wanted something to drink?"
Jack lets go off Elsa's waist and drops his hands to his side as North speaks to them both, Els amd Jack look at one another and then back at North who was still waiting for an answer.
Jack" Err.... drink?"
North" Well I couldn't help but notice you two were the only ones without a glass of wine in your hand and it is a celebration after all"
Elsa" I don't really drink wine ..."
Jack rubs his neck in nervousness knowing that he hasn't even drank wine before.
North" Nonsense it's your birthday! Here you two let's have a toast!" he says handing them a glass from the tray as one of the servants pass by.
They all clink there glasses together as they take a sip, as soon as Elsa and Jack took a sip, they could taste the crisp acidity of the red liquid. Elsa felt it burn the back of her throat but immediately took another sip after seeing North smile at them toasting about her birthday. Jack on the other hand couldn't stand the taste of it, he had never tasted anything so awful in his life and he had been alive for a long time, however he knew it was Elsa's birthday and drank more of the liquid as soon as he could.
After what seemed like a blur the two lovebirds Elsa and Jack found themselves in the halls of the castle while everyone else was still in the ballroom celebrating. Jack was sat up with his back against the purple elegant sofa while looking down with his blushing cheeks at Elsa who was laying on the sofa and her head on his lap, her right arm reached up touching his left cheek and her head spun with dizziness from the red liquid which was now spilled on the tiled floor.
As Jack looked down at her he could see the light dancing in her eyes as they stared back at him, he couldn't stop thinking about how beautiful she looked so he reached down as her hand still rested on his cheek, the minute his lips touched hers he could feel spark and he knew he never wanted this moment to end even if it was because of the wine that had gone to his head.
